To my knowledge all of the Taiwan Originals were made the same with the new design castings rotors, and never with the old dies, winding machines, etc. What probably happened was there was an overlap in parts during the change and possibly American made motors were going into new boxes labeled for Taiwan. As with a lot of things there is a bit of leftover parts from year to year that packaging doesn't always convey.
Also, some parts of American made Originals were imported as well, in case you weren't aware. I do recall of castings being shipped from Orient origin and assembled in America even in the early 1980s. Hopefully some others can clarify and expand on this, as I'm just going from memory here. Again the search will bring a lot of old threads full of good info.

You might try doing a search on that info here. I remember there being some threads on this back in the day. Here's one I found: ada19851985.proboards.com/thread/73/wanna-express-complaint-new-original?page=2Apparently the American Originals had a rating of 10,500 CFM, the new post 2002s had 6,900 CFM. There could be some discrepancies possibly in the tests though, I'm not sure if all variables are the same or not between the two. Also, it's possible that more recent Originals could have a bit better performance than the early imported models because there have been a few tweaks to the motors in the last decade or so. There was a change to the blade brackets as well in the past couple of years that caused there to be a little higher CFM as well.

Do you guys still use a land line or do you use cell phones for all? At my house we have Comcast for our phone and internet, so not hooked into the underground phone line anymore. But Comcast does use our phone jacks and wiring inside the house, for the phone and internet. It's backfed from the router into the phone jack. Also I use the Uniden cordless phone with cell link sometimes if I make calls from my cell phone. With that I can call either over land line or my cell phone with Bluetooth or take calls from either, from the same handset.
I hear about people tearing out the phone lines but to me that seems wasteful/destructive. I mean, even if you don't use the phone line someone else might need it in the future. And even if not, how do they connect to the internet unless it's all over Wi-Fi? Plus I heard someone the other day saying they painted their house and didn't bother to put the phone jack back on because they have cell phones. But to me it's just looks bad to have a hole in the wall with no cover, but then I'm OCD about that kind of stuff.
I'd prefer all of my wall outlet/cable TV/phone jack plates to be at same height/straight, etc. Honestly I'd change them all for white if I had the time but it's too much work. It would drive me crazy to come in an empty house and see broken or missing phone jacks with holes in the wall or broken cover plates. lol

I seem to be having this issue again, not with the disconnecting/reconnecting though. My computer updated today, it loaded a lot of updates and when I plugged in my phone after, I noticed it isn't showing up when I try to upload attachments. It shows the C drive, desktop and all but not Samsung. It must have had something to do with the update because it was working find yesterday.

I don't know, I haven't tried uploading them straight from the phone, I always plug my phone into the computer first and then upload from it through there.

I didn't get it and it sold. It would have taken up a lot of space, and I noticed it was made in China, which kind of made me less interested in getting it. If both legs had been there, I might have gotten it.
I was surprised Marvin outsourced some fans too, but I guess they did with heaters as well.

My Walmart never had much remodeling other than when they added the grocery addition, they moved the snack bar and the restrooms. Other than that mostly just paint and signage changes, and a few ceiling fans replaced and removed over the years, and in the grocery department the refrigerators and freezers got changed out at one point.

Speaking of the Chillout Turbo Fans, I looked at my local CVS today and they had those in stock. The price was outrageous at $24.99. I didn't look closely at what colors they had. They also had some off brand black 12" desk fans and white 16" stand fans, Honeywell black HV fans, Honeywell tower fans and Lasko box fans. Not a huge selection. I also saw two little battery powered personal fans as well.
I'm not sure why CVS' markup on fans is so high, their prices have always been higher than online or Walmart.
I forgot to mention they didn't have any fans on display either, and nor does Walmart

Nice fan! I've never seen many ILG fans here, but my college did have an ILG heater hanging from the ceiling in one of the restrooms and you could see the ILG fan blade in it. It got replaced though when they added air conditioning to the restrooms (they were ones at the walkways, separate from the main buildings).

Yesterday I went to two estate sales. One had in the photos one of those MaxxAir drum fans in orange, but it looked like it had a McMillan type motor? When I got there though, it wasn't there, and there was one of the Galaxy box fans from 2004 or newer for sale and it was really dirty. I definitely didn't want it. The other sale had a newer Lasko and Holmes box fans in the garage being used and they were both marked not for sale. Inside there was a little Holmes Blizzard in the box but I wasn't really interested. Habitat turned up no fans. The other thrift store was closed because of Memorial Day weekend and I didn't see any fans at the flea market, it was pretty empty compared to how it was last fall and winter.

I was using imgur for a while, it worked okay, but I found the images it puts into bb format are really big unless I resize them before uploading. The last time I uploaded photos on here, I used lensdump and it worked pretty well. None of these have the multiple uploader that Photobucket has though, and that's the main thing, is every time I want to upload multiple pics from my phone, I have to go back into it every time and wait for all of them to load before I can select them, so for 10 pictures I have to go through that 10 times. There are a lot of photos on my phone so it takes a really long time. With Photobucket I had to just let them load once and then select as many as I wanted and then they uploaded at once and done. It is quite annoying to have to do multiple times. It's really caused me to cut back a lot on picture uploading, plus I haven't been really happy with the quality of photos my phone takes, it seems they always look washed out and blurry, IDK why.

I have an avocado Sears fan with lime green blades made by Knapp Monarch. I think those were the first green bladed Sears. Before that they were tan and brown or blue. There were also some McGraw Edison style Sears branded fans, they had a white metal base, motor housing and white cage with clear green blades. Then I think these Sanyo made ones came along. My Sanyo made Sears seems to be from the early 70s. I know the first Lasko/Galaxy blue blade fans that looked very similar to these Sears were in 1972, so definitely in that era.

Nice finds. The daytron is interesting. It kind of reminds me of an Advantage or Aries branded fan with those vents in the badge. But usually the vents would be facing down instead of up.
Those little Holmes peds are neat, they came in other colors too.
That R&M is very nice, I bet it's quiet!
