Oh wow, I noticed the reviews were a bit mixed, but I did not realize they were that bad. That’s a shame. They seem to be a decent motor so I’m guessing it comes down to poor blade pitch or design.

I do remember it had a round mounting bracket that was black. That seemed a bit unusual.

I noticed CoreCentric has some on those 72” HFC-72 industrial fans for $330 in the black and they also have a white and gray for $254 Usually these sell for over $800 each or something similarly crazy.
I don’t know if they had a lot of issues with these or not… my Taco Bell has two of them out front, I’m not sure if they still install these or not, the newer ones seem to be using Craftmade.
Anyway I do find these interesting, they use a big 212mm motor similar to the Tribeca where the blades mount to a flywheel like ring, you use one ring if you want it with just 3 blades and two for 6 blades.
I definitely find these more interesting than a lot of current Hunters. I don’t have any need for one due to the size.

My neighbor across the street has the prior gen Sportage, probably 2019, I like the look of it. Another neighbor down street has one too.

I saw a 42” white footprint vent with filigree hugger fan with four white blades and half moon arms at the thrift store. Looked like a 153mm motor. Would that probably be a Litex?

I still have Ford Taurus and I’m happy with it. Gotta say I really like the Ford Explorer overall, if I was getting something newer that’s what I’d get out if Ford’s current lineup.
I just can’t seem to get into the crossovers much, I like something more like the Explorer. I will say I did like the Kia Soul a lot for something of that size.
My friend had a Hyundai Elantra, an older 2004 one and it was pretty comfortable, has anyone ever ride in an Accent?

That’s my big thing is uploading pics. I know it costs money to allow for data storage though.

I got a Sony one awhile back from a thrift store that has HD Radio and also RDS. Kind of a rectangular unit with a wood housing.

My wife’s sister needed something for her kitchen that was small so I picked one of these up. Not the best fan but not the worst. A lot of Harbor Breezes are made by this oem as you said as well as Hunters. The harbor breezes seem to be of better quality then the Hunter but the consistency for Walmart seems to be the same for harbor breeze. I’m pleased with it has a hum but no bearing noise. Overall I’m happy with it I’d rather have done a four bladed fan or five as I’m not big on 3 bladders but this is nice for what it is ! Wow I didn’t know they made fans for Hunter. Was it hard to put together? Only thing I saw it looked like it’d be hard to get the blade brackets screwed into the motor given how wide the light kit is to the screw holes on the motor.

Not necessarily a chunky 153 but not the smallest one either. These are decent fans, I installed one in my grandparents porch awhile ago and I have been happy with it. They are surprisingly nice! I think I saw your video on it. Yeah I’m guessing the 153 isn’t a bad motor given it’s only a 30” fan with 3 blades. I think I saw some of the larger Better Homes and Gardens ones have 172.

I know it’s not vintage but more modern style but Friday I picked up this model from Walmart more for observation purposes.
Anyway I did open the box and examine it. It is made by “Hong Kong China Electrical Appliance Company Ltd”. They make some Honeywell and Harbor Breeze too.
The fit and finish seem pretty good, and the blade finishes look nice. It came with two Great Value Walmart filament LED candelabra shape bulbs that are dimmable.
The motor seems to be a decent size? Can’t tell but I *think* it’s a chunky 153.
Anyway, I was pretty impressed with it for a Walmart fan. It seems nicer quality than those white Mainstays huggers, but given they’re about $20 cheaper than this…

Derby’s seem to appear on eBay here and there but I never actually have seen one installed. Weird model. Nice finds ! I actually wasn’t familiar with the Derby model at all, until I heard if it. It’s definitely an interesting one but I think the brushed steel and maple combo suits it well. Also I meant to mention that last month I picked up a Hunter Low Profile IV in white at Habitat, with a bowl light. I mainly picked it up because I like the mid 2000s styling it has. Unfortunately once I got it realized it has the later style script logo so it may not be any good. The sticker shows it’s from 2012, but ironically, that has the older Hunter logo on it. It looks to have a thick 153mm in it. Although I guess most 42” and 48” Hunter huggers probably are 153 anyway.

Turns out it was $129, so I decided to pass on it for now.

I got two fans at Fan Fest from Matt last weekend.
One a PB Hunter Comfort Breeze from 1987. Looks like it may have a 188mm motor in it.
And second, an Emerson Derby in brushed steel with male blades and light kit.

Not sure on the specs of the Asheville. The auberville what style box older ones had a 172 motor and essentially was a Beacon Hill with a bowl light kit. The newer ones had 153s and I bought a few for a project each one got returned because they were noisiest and I mean noisy bearings right out the box and have seen it happen as well on others besides that one time. It’s the older green box with the pre 2008 oval logo. I would think it would be one of the better ones but not sure. It has the tulip arms like the Low Profile, Passport III, etc. Also I did pick up a Low Profile IV at Habitat last week. I wish it was like the Home Depot exclusive ones but I do Like the look of it. Unfortunately once I got it in the car realized it’s newer than I thought, it had the newer logo and from 2012. Looks like a thicker 153mm in it.
