I enjoyed the video! Thanks for the "shout outs"! I am replying in more detail on YouTube-- I believe the more comments and such you get on YouTube, the more money you make, so I try to reply there first.

You're welcome, it was your videos that inspired me to try doing some, I left a very long reply on you tube, but for those that don't use it, I'll sum it up here, the palco is in a very temperary install its going to end up in one of the alcoves of the main basement, I'm going to put my white Emerson designer in its place. Seecond if it were not for the fact that I had that brass DeltaII the veranda deluxe would be int he dining room. 3rd in both the kitchen and office, the smaller fan came first to stop cool that area, then the larger ones were found later. Final thing and I did not mention this on youtube, I wish i could find rosewood stencil for the deltaII and white stencil for the SeaIsland.

Did Casa make rosewood stencil?
I have NEVER seen a Sea Island with stencil, because they were sold unipack with blades. It would be AWESOME.

Oh and I bought one of the k63's that were on ebay, finally I'm getting my first k63 fan.

I only know of walnut stencil. The Casablanca experts would know more.
\o/ on the eBay blenderfans! I am hoping to buy whatever they have left to complete all the incomplete blenders I have.

Maybe it was the walnut I was thinking of... but either way a dark wood + stencil would look nice in the dining room. I think it ended before they sold the last one, none of them have the upper canopies though, perhaps though if you contact them they'll sell you the last one. I can't wait till mine arrives and then the weather warms up so I can do a k55 vrs k63 performance test, it looked like these blenders are actually the early 'bronze' ones under the white paint, if so thoughts on how to get the white paint off with out ruining the bronze paint under it?

There is no way to strip the paint on the blades at all without damaging them. Just paint over them with whatever color you like, but dont try to remove the old paint. If yours are like mine you'll want to replace the bearings, or at least clean and oil them.

I also find it amusing that for the most part you and I are the only ones talking on this thread.

You could try Goof Off or one of those cleaners designed to remove latex paint, you MIGHT not damage the brown paint underneath, but I doubt it.

It arrived, and it interestingly this one is a CF523A with the stepped flywheel and plastic blades, all the others in the listing looked liked they had fiberglass blades, so this one has dark brown, not bronze motor under the whitewashing, still great fan, once I get around to cleaning it up. but it means I'm still going to be searching for one of the 'bronze' blenders, still it seems to me that k63s with plastic are rare compared to k55s with plastic or k63 fiberglass.

That is true! K63/plastic is a rare combination.
Good news is, spare plastic blades are a lot easier to come by.

and in theory plastic should be a bit easier to get paint off of, didn't Adam D. strip paint off the brown plastic blades on one of his blender fans?
