To start off I modified 2 of my franken fans
#1 This cheapo 90's Armetage that I converted from a hugger to a bottom mount spinner
now has a motor housing so it looks less cheap really the only reason i use it is that i like the rosewood blade finish and i only need a weak fan where its located plus it's in a sport where the fan could easily get hit so I don't want to put a good fan there
#2 my Hampton Bay Industrial that has Nutone Slimline blades
now has a switch housing with a variable speed knob
Now for fans I added to the collection
#1 I hope everyone remembers the Sonnet Aire I rewound last summer
#2 the 2 Wing Tat spinners from the local auction house which I won at a auction there after they tool them down
and one of them is now in my basement, the other is in storage
#3 Was given a second one of those bras fans with the red and amber stained glass motor housings, this one needed new blade arms as they took the fan down with the blades on *head desk* they only other thing wrong was it needed a new pull chain switch, got the parts it needed from switchco and put the fan in my parents' basement
#4 found a brass Harbor breeze that some one threw out, it needed bearings, new blades which I made as 42in wingtip blades since the motor is underpowered for a 52in fan and a new switch housing I have before picture but no after picture, sorry about that
#5 a second brown leslie locke like this one
but it had the nut and needed new blades as some one had made one replacement blade for it in the past so it was badly out of balance
#6 a 42 white SMC Laguna with stencil blades and vents in the motor housing some one had rattle canned the plain side of the blades silver, no picture sorry
#7 a white 36in evergo industrial that had a good gold rattle can job done to it so I'm going to keep it gold, again no picture
Another thing I did was swap out 3 of the fans at my parents' house
#1 replaced the Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus in my parents' 'tv room'
with a Hunter Ashlyn mostly because of my dad's and to a lesser degree my dislike of 5 bladed fans
#2 replaced the Hunter Potomac in my dad's office
with this 42in white and brass crest that has stencil blades due to the crest having sentimental value
the crest came form the house of part of the extended family and said house is soon going to be sold
#3 I finally found a cool fan to replace the Hampton Bay Minuette in my parents' kitchen
The new fan is a NIB white and brass NuTone Sea Island made in 1981 that I won on ebay recently
speaking of Ebay I got a few other fans on it this year, sorry no pictures for these
#1 A white 52 in 4 wood blade fan with a moss Caribbean breeze type motor that has a switch housing, not moss branded though
#2 A brown 3 plastic blade k55 Emerson heat fan from that seller that had been listing a lot of them
#3 A either black or brown, I forgot which Thomas Industries British India collection, NIB with 52in white plastic blades
#4 A mint bright brass Casablanca DeltaII I just won that last week, right after I won the NuTone
Finally while this is not in my collection I had to show a picture of an antique Hunter fan that I saw at Rough and Tumble's showgrounds in Kinsers PA
