Yeah, those British Indias have the larger Parlour Fan motors in them. My T-3 has the smaller FASCO motor in it.

Finally every main room in my parents' house has a fan now that I put up another of my recent additions in their dinning room. It is my first complete Casablanca fan, a bright brass 48in DeltaII with oak/rose wood reversible blades (gloss on the rosewood side). Yes I refinished one side of the blades, the sided that did not look as nice since I needed reddish wood to match the room i was going to use it in. Also added an up light, which I suppose makes it a DeltaII halo now lol. Finally I modified the chandelier that had been there before to attach to the switch housing since my parents wanted to keep the chandelier there.

My parents wanted to keep their chandelier if I Put a fan in the dining room so I had to attach the chandelier to the fan belive me I would have wanted to put a 4 arm fitter with center globe on it. And I forgot about this fan i put in their basement 2 weeks ago: A bras lakeside 2 I found in the trash, it needed a new switch housing to replace the mangled integrated light kit, and I had to make new blades as well as the original ones wer badly warped mdf, made the new ones shorter so the underpowered motor would not be so overloaded, the new blades are wingtip. No surprise given the undersized motor that it works better as 40in fan then it did as a 52.

I like the Delta EXCEPT for the uplight. IMO for uplights you shouldnt be able to see the light at all, just the glow on the ceiling.
The Lakeside looks great with the blades you made. Are you going to finish them?

I like the Delta EXCEPT for the uplight. IMO for uplights you shouldnt be able to see the light at all, just the glow on the ceiling. my parents like them exposed though...internal uplights could have be done by removing the screen from the top plate (also making the bottom screen totally opaque) and putting say rope lights inside of the housing maybe the nest time i get a 'big housing' 3 speed casablanca i'll try that (or swap the top and bottom plates on that parlor fan and try it on that once i find or make blade arms for it would be nice to have a 'hidden' uplight where im going to put it) personally I like lighted housings when I want low level light in the room but that would requiring making new side band and would not allow for use of flicker flame bulbs at special occasions. The Lakeside looks great with the blades you made. Are you going to finish them? if I get a few more warm days ill do oak stain one side and reddish stain on the other otherwise that will wait till spring.

I forget if I asked this before.
Why does the church need an uplight? Is it on 24/7?
What fans are in the sanctuary?

I forget if I asked this before. you did not Why does the church need an uplight? Is it on 24/7? yeah the light is on 24/7 What fans are in the sanctuary? 2 white A model hunter originals over the pews, and 2 white low profiles over the raised area where the alter, choir and pipe organ are located and the main classroom has a Westinghouse industrial modified to take a 3 light turtle fitter

well now that the k55 emperor from my church is back in my collection (I'm the one that loaned it to them in the first place), I did bit of work to it and replaced this hunter fan in my parent's living room with it the stencil blades on this hunter are not original, I drilled them to fit it. the emperor before, note that the blades on it there were the original blades to that hunter and After the main changes are, used the stenciled blades I had adapted to that hunter on it, so now its stenciled, changed the c7 size up light bulbs to c9 sized ones, made the switch housing shinier and put spotlight on it, the pull chain on the spot light controls the up lights, as the spotlight is on different circuit with a dimmer. the fan has a 4 speed control for HamptonBay industrial (DAN it uses the same values of capacitors as the 4 speed controls you use at 12 wings, 8 for low, 12 for mid low, 20 for mid high.) at the wall since the original 3speed control at the wall made the medium way to slow. at the motor its 3 speed 3 5uf caps in parallel(15 total) for medium, 2 of those 3 in parallel (10 total) for low and if I had an extra 4 speed panama pull chain I could add a 5 uf 'winter low' speed. and I have given this fan a model name, the Byzantium.

I like the stencil blades on it. I think the spotlight kit is too modern for it, and I still hate the exposed uplight! But that's just my taste. It's very distinctively "you".
How did you eliminate the running issues you had with it before?

I like the stencil blades on it. I like stencil on just about anything. I want to find a set of rosewood stencil blades for the deltaII I think the spotlight kit is too modern for it one thing I did do to make it fit on the fan a little better was use an ornate cap on the bottom of the spot light instead of the plain one it had come with, main reason for using a spotlight as all the other ceiling lights in that room are spotlights. and I still hate the exposed uplight! But that's just my taste. It's very distinctively "you". It definitely works better on a longer downrod like with this install. How did you eliminate the running issues you had with it before? when I got it down, found that it was not a warped flywheel after all, rather the screws were not holding the brackets tight, as for the hum, seems like the church might have dirty power, as it does not hum in the new install. As is typical with longer downrods the fan is more stable, and a few heavy washers on one of the blade screws took care of the rest of the inbalance, bearings turned out good also, I'm thinking it just for what ever reason did not being in the church install.
