Hey Adam do you remember for like a year or 2 when publix had that home delivery service called "Publix Direct" like around the 2001 2002 era. i remember we would always order from there, it was a good idea but i herd people were taking advantage of it and they were losing money.

no, I missed that....Then again I think remember hearing something about it...But didn't really pay attention to it.
They probably replaced those sockets with newer style...The one socket that I replaced on mine is just a tab bit different, but not enough to even tell......Adam

I'm in the process of getting info on those light fixtures from publix, once I do, I will be updating those pages...I got a hold of someone thats been with the company for over 30 years. She forwarded the e-mail to someone else who would know.... I'm waiting for a response...I'm hoping to get any pictures.....

I've never seen ceiling fans in Publix stores, However the they just torn down had on all the way in the back rooms. I was able to see it from the road because part of the main back wall was torn out, and was able to see it hanging. It was a 90s looking five blade builder...

I think it was a Publix in Athens, GA that had 4 blade Nutone industrials.

Really? I have seen PLENTY.
A Kohl's in the 80s had 10 Envirofan industrials. I removed these with a lift.
One Sentry location had 10 or so Carroway's, another had Evergos with the rounded bottoms.
An IGA Food Country had probably 20 Con-Tech's in the 80s. Another IGA store had a plastic Emerson and an ornate JCPenney over the registers (on 6" downrods on a 20' ceiling!)
I've seen grocery stores with blenderfans, Fascos, Nutones, Originals, Dayton Laskos, and just about every brand of industrials. These are mostly 80s sightings, nowdays most of the fans have been removed. A few of the Copps stores around here are still built with HRC fans over the produce.

Ah ok......... But apparently they are some even in Australia, Asia , Brazil etc I was sure that it was Canadian only www.iga.com/aboutIGA/international.aspDoes anyone have ever seen retro fixtures and ceiling fans in Winn-Dixie stores. Apparently they have been around for a long time but now they are only located in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
