I like the Windpointe! I think they mean that it has a set of blades, though they may not be palm blades. Either way, they weren't unipacked in the box, which I don't consider 'included'.

Nice how the Emerson has a trilingual box. Did you asked them since when they do this?
The Fanimation Windpointe would look very good in a Egyptian decor.

I believe Emerson introduced the new packaging just this year, so the trilingual thing is pretty new. Seems they're trying to be very Canada-friendly for some reason, they've got the fact that they ship to Canada plastered all over the website so it only makes sense that they'd cater to the French-speaking population on the packaging too.

That's a pretty nice looking piece! Compared to a typical ceiling fan, how well does it circulate the air in the room? Even if it is a powerful stream of air, I imagine it would be pretty spotty circulation given the size..

It's a concentrated stream, but given the orbital design, it circulates overall quite well with the stream constantly moving.

Very neat! I'll definitely watch the video on this one.. Reminds me of those Honeywell pedestal fans, the blade looks very similar.. Do you know what the CFM and RPM ratings are on this?

Had to look again, but 1861 CFM and 281 RPM on high. I thought of Honeywell pedestal and turbo fans as well lol, that occurred to me immediately after I thought of the Candelier resemblance.

Thanks for the info! I thought it would be more into the 300 range, but those blades do have some substantial pitch to them

Yes, it's 2016, but I've got some backlog to deal with here for 2015 since I'm just starting to recover from my detrimental technology meltdown (the drive with all my pictures and videos on it failed, in case you haven't heard). Some of the stuff I'll be posting is nearly a month old already, but I couldn't get posted until now. Found my first Heirloom Deluxe! Overall in pretty good shape, I swapped out the blades with a practically identical spare set I had as the originals had some torn up cane. Also had to supply a mounting bracket myself, but it was otherwise complete. Appeared to have had some water exposure at one point or another, perhaps at some point in some form of storage, but it cleaned up good and the finish is in decent shape. Typical bit of motor hum and slight bearing whir, nothing detrimental and great performance overall.

Oh don't worry, I often take at least one month to post something from the moment I acquired it. Often it can be three or four months. It depend a lot of the condition of the fan and how much I want to restore it.
