Ulkesh,
Don't value the Warranties, when the company dissapears
who's going to fulfill the remaining time of that warranty?
no one.
There are two types of warranties, full and limited.
Full warranties are the ones the manufacturer will cover
100% of the cost of every part and service fees for the
warranty period without exceptions or extra cost to the
original owner. This type of warranty is rare, only Black &
Decker had it before they became part of Applica Appliances
in 1998.
Limited warranties {the favorite of every manufacturer}
are the ones that cover some parts free of charge during a
30, 60 or 90-days trial period. After the so-called "trial
period" expire YOU are responsable for the cost of some
parts and service. They will cover them, but it doesn't
necessary mean it's going to be 100% free of charge.
In the case of Casablanca, their warranties WILL NOT cover
blade arms, canopy, couplers, motor housings, sidebands,
switch housings, switch caps, etc. Only the flywheels, pull
switches and RMMs.
The 90-day warranty only cover free in-home service for a
normal 10-Ft. ceiling. after day 91, you'll have to remove
the fan and take it to an authorized repair shop if you go
to someone else, Casablanca will void the warranty.
And get this, the warranty also becomes void if you remove
the fan from the original place of installation, transfer
ownership of the fan or the sale of the property in which
it was originally installed.
Limited lifetime warranties are tricky, that's why they're
called "limited warranties". Something else, lifetime
means it only covers the product or parts for the lifetime
of the original owner.
