Whoa! Nice to see the fans in good use. Looks like you got them cleaned up, too. They look really cool . And they're built like tanks. I still have four of those gold line motors that i'm keeping. Just have to get blades for them.

I love my Gold Line from you Louis! I thank you very much for it. The best industrial I own in terms of quality. I think my Encon CG Airmaster is a bit more powerful in air movement with the straight blades and fast RPM.

The motors got pretty badly damaged in shipping. I touched them up with white out but they will need a full repaint eventually.
I LOVE Gold Lines and would love to get more if anyone finds any or decides to trade theirs.
Christian, right now they do not have a control but when we are done remodeling they will be.
More pictures coming soon.

I love my Gold Line from you Louis! I thank you very much for it. The best industrial I own in terms of quality. I think my Encon CG Airmaster is a bit more powerful in air movement with the straight blades and fast RPM. Missed this post before. Originally, I had an OLD (split canopy-- anyone seen one before?) Encon CG where the middle Envirofan is. I felt a comparable breeze from each fan, and seeing as the Envirofans have curved blades (thereby spreading the air out more and creating more movement than just want you feel) they still win. In terms of quality it's a no brainer. The Envirofans weigh twice as much and have much better bearings. I still plan on installing the CG in the back room. Cole, check the capacitor and bearings on your Envirofan. It may need a new cap or oil. It appears the ones Louis found have seen some heavy use over the years. Of the three I have hanging, they all run at slightly different speeds, none of which are as fast as a brand new/minty one. I already tried switching the caps, when I get a chance I'll oil them. The front one especially needs some, when I cut the power it stops well before the others.

Great installs Dan! That church has come a long way since two years ago. I think the Envirofans look cool in between the strip lighting.

Most of the work has been done my the drummer, myself, and other men in the church. We hired a crew to do the new carpet, that's pretty much it.
I think I will be removing the striplights. They are ugly and give ugly light and half of them dont work. That space, the community center, was originally about 10 times the size it is now, but we werent using it, so it was partitioned off to rent to other businesses. Originally we cut it in half, and then eventually the remaining half was divided up into spaces the size you see (2k square feet I think) but when it was all one big space the striplight ran the ENTIRE length. So each time they divided they messed the wiring up, and now half of them wont come on, and some of the breakers trip as soon as you turn them on (dead short) and it's just a mess. Either I need to fix all the striplights (and why bother cause I HATE them) or just rip them out and start fresh. I'm thinking of doing recessed cans like in the lobby and sanctuary. Maybe some of the recessed fluorescent lights too (also like the lobby and sanctuary) for when we need bright light to clean, etc.
Right now everything is temporary. Each Envirofan has a plug, and they plug into an extention cord, and that's it. Probably if I do the lighting it will be temporary as well because I bet we will either move out of the community center soon or remodel it again. But I do need to create some controls. Maybe switched outlets.

It looks really good. Your church is coming really far along. I love how all the fans look.
My church is going to undergo a HUGE renovation and expansion. The whole church is pretty much going to be flipped upside-down, with the offices, lounge, kitchen, classrooms, etc. being moved to completely different places. Not to mention the new recreational space that will be added in the current East parking lot. There are neighboring buildings that have been sold to the church, and will be demolished and the new lawn area and parking lot will be in their place. Exciting stuff!

Nice fans, Dan! I love them all! ;D
I would fix the strip lights, but if you don't like 'em, take them down.

Nice Banvils! I love those Industrials too.(But not the current ones) I wonder how those old chunky Canarm are doing compare to those. I guess it pretty much the same quality and airflow.
What happened to the NuTone 4 bladed in the lobby?
How do you control the Minka Aire?
Who every said that fluorescent gives a nice pleasant light!? Can lights would be much better. (on dimmer switch to be green)

Nice fans, Dan! I love them all! ;D I would fix the strip lights, but if you don't like 'em, take them down. I like the retro look of the Envirofans with the striplights for a store or something similar. But for a meeting place, banquet hall, party room, community center, everything we are using the room for, the lighting is too harsh. Plus my Pastor thinks they are ugly. So down the go. Actually I plan to keep the row that goes longways and remove all the horizontal lights. I might move the fans around a bit once the lights are not in the way.

Good eye, these are actually labeled Banvil Envirofan. In the mid-80s they were all labeled this way, before the split I suppose. I love those Industrials too.(But not the current ones) Not current whats? I wonder how those old chunky Canarm are doing compare to those. I guess it pretty much the same quality and airflow. The ones with the Evergo motor would be similar to the original Envirofans with the bell canopy. These, with the plunger canopy, move slightly more air. What happened to the NuTone 4 bladed in the lobby? It came down when we did the second set of renovations. First set: new lights in sanctuary, expanded foyer into lobby by removing walls/offices. No new fans added, it was kind of weird with the Nutone where the Homestead is now and no other fan in the big space. Second set: expanded sanctuary by removing walls/offices, new choirstand, new stage, new carpet on stage, choirstand, and lobby. New lights and fans in lobby and choirstand. This is when I replaced the Nutone with the Homestead and added the Minka. How do you control the Minka Aire? The Minka and Homestead share a 4 speed control mounted at the front next to the windows. It is the same place the Nutone control was. Who every said that fluorescent gives a nice pleasant light!? Can lights would be much better. (on dimmer switch to be green) Indirect fluorescent light can be pleasant, but these striplights with no shades are way too harsh. I would love to install fluorescent uplights but that would cost too much. Plus we do need dimmability. I plan to install some can lights-- maybe 8-10? And then either keep a few strips or install some recessed fluorescent lights for when we need to clean, etc. I also need to put the fans on a control.
