My most recent addition to my portable fan collection would be my cheapy Room Essentials High Velocity Fan. It's 4 inch, and I got it from Target. Pics/Video:

16-inch Galaxy from 1990. So that's 1990? My Galaxy doesn't have that style font on the grille badge. Yesh. This is a good fan I can see. No freakin' way. They don't build fans like this anymore! This is class! Hey what's behind it?

This is class! Hey what's behind it? 1- Yes. That's from 1990. 2- It's a 12-inch Tatung Hi-Torque Series1. 3- No they don't. This thing is made of Die-Cast. The only plastic parts are the motor protector, blades, spinner and buttons.

You know, since the blades turn clockwise (based on the pitch direction, which is towards the back), wouldn't one think to keep an eye on the back? The back end of the pitch on a clockwise fan can act much like a blade. Hurts a bit and can cut deep. I wonder how the manufacturer saw otherwise- of course, that's not an American fan but..still...one finger in that back cage and blood flies.
