Nice fan Rob. I have the 24" version that I removed from a wood shop at an estate sale. This one is like Rob's and is made entirely of cast iron and its extremely heavy.

They look like powerhouse air-suckers to say the least.

Picked up these two Patton fans for $5.00 total. They run excellent. One seems to be worn in more than the other. What I have noticed is how well built and robust these "Industrial" fans are compared to the blue sickle-blade versions. They don't vibrate at all, they move a ton of air, they are very sturdy with no rattling. Not exactly quiet but I think these are better than the blue ones.

Well, yesterday I got an old 9'' GE vortalex fan . I'll have pictures or a video when it arrives. The GE vortalex arrived a while ago. I forgot to post it. The seller did not tell me it did not have a switch. It is stuck on high. It works. It is the second one in this video. I compared the size to my small Maid Rite fan. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0rWnnHedrk

Great fans; I particularly like that GE. I've got one of those Made-Rite fans as well, and I love it!
