Hello, fellow fan collectors, I'm Robot286. Just so you know, I am Noah C. On the other forum. I am not a fan collector because I don't have the time nor space to collect fans, but I am interested in them, along with science. Is Cole Semanko from YouTube on here?

My name is Matt O. I have always enjoyed ceiling fans. My parents say that I could not stop watching them at age 2. Some of my first words were fan and fantastic. Anyway, I also collect old records and had not been collecting fans until my interest was rekindled last year. Right now I am interested primarily in Ceiling Fans from the 1970s and early to mid 1980s. I recall many fan showrooms from my early childhood in the 1980s, since whenever we went shopping I HAD to go to check out the fan department.
I like the look of older fans and will buy antique fans if I find them cheap at garage sales etc....
My favorite fans are early 80s Fasco, Emerson and Hunter brand fans. I also like Nutone, Old Jacksonville, and Sears (Emerson & Lasko). I have never been interested in Casablanca much, but that interest may develop. I'd say my favorite looking fans are the plastic Sears Emersons with the round vents and dropped flywheel from the 70s and 80s.
I plant to be a regular contributor here and thanks again !

A lot of people like that era of fans, I think Adam, the site administrator, collects primary from that era as well. Glad to hear you'll be contributing regularly, its always nice to grow the community!

Though there are exceptions with a few mid and late 80s fans, depending on the fan.. And welcome to the forum Matt.. I hope you continue to enjoy your stay..
