Hi everybody, I don't consider myself a collector, but I have several older Hunter Original ceiling fans. Recently my 70's era 52" 2 speed Reverse-Aire quit working, as well as a 1993 import fan I bought at BJ's
I bought 3 new Hunter Originals, now made in china, to replace the inop fans. Just for grins I checked the oil in the old Hunter and it was empty. No excuse. I put oil in the fan and now it works fine, so I decided to get original Reverse-Aire irons and blades for it. I bought NOS blades and irons off ebay, but I didn't notice that they were for a 38" fan.
Now I am looking for a set of 52" Reverse-Aire irons and a 38" Hunter fan. Guess that now makes me somewhat of a collector.

About 15 years ago a broom handle tangled with a blade. Broke one blade and ruined the iron. The blades were thrown away. I still have the irons, but the threads were ruined in at least one screw whole. The blades and irons on the fan now are generic replacements from Home Depot. They work fine, but I would like the fan to be all original hunter parts.

I'm not exactly a "newbie", but since I'm not too well known on this forum, I figured I'll post in this thread regardless. I'm well known on DT as Jordan U. Due to recent issues that occurred on DT regarding administrators, I am now moving over to this site to continue most of my forum activity. I will be posting my sightings and collection over time, probably not for a few weeks as I just started a new job and don't have a lot of time right now. For those that don't know me, a little about me: I've worked as an IT supervisor and teacher at a high school for the past 2 years, just got a better offering this year and relocated to doing IT at a university. I've also recently received a position in my church as an assistant youth pastor. I'm a very calm person and easy to get along with. Messages and friend requests are always welcome, ask me for Skype/email etc. Some things I enjoy doing include talking on the telephone, skateboarding, making videos, working on the computer, and landscaping. I am a fan collector as well, and I have a few other collections of various things around my house.
I know many of the members on here probably recognize me from DT, but for those that aren't on DT, I hope to get to know you all soon!
