OMG awesome sighting to tell you all! I know your gonna be really mad at me for not having brought my camera but it was sighted in a place really close to my house so I could always go back there when I want, its about 2-3KM from my house. Its right here in my neighborhood. Yesterday I went job hunting and I went to a place that sells stuff for your garden, like fences, stones ,earth, plants, gardening tools and landscaping and all. Like its in my neighborhood and its been there for as long as I can remember I often pass in front of it but it was the first time that I actually went IN the building. By the windows when you pass in front of it you can see those two white 56'' Canarm Pleasantairs with generic bell canopy and wide curved blades. So I already knew there were interesting fans in there. Now I finally went in and saw them from close and they are not that old, probably late 1980s early 1990s, the blades are HUGE. Those really wide TAT curved blades. The motor is the slimmer version(late 1980s early 1990s) They were pretty much the same thing as those but the paint on them is a lot glossier. I saw 4 of those, two on short downrods on a low dropped ceiling and two other on longer downrods on a high exposed ceiling. There was probably a 5th one completely at the back that I did not saw. But that's not all. There were two other fans that I did not know that had. To my great surprise I found two late 1970s early 1980s 4 Seasons Industrial with 3 curved blades on a low dropped ceiling. They were ivory. One was 56'' and the other was 48''. The 48'' are so rare! Its actually the first time I see a 3 blader in 48''! It was so cute! They were basically the 3 bladed version of this:

Today I went to my best friend house. She just moved in a new house about 3 weeks ago. It was a really hot day and they don't have central A/C and one of their window A/C is not installed yet so most of the fans were on. All the ceiling fans came with the house. In the kitchen they have a really cool install of a pair of 2001 SMC Windsor 42''. Nothing special or high quality at all but its cool to see them installed in a pair like that. It was flipping hot in that kitchen so they were both on high when I arrived. I had to turn them off to picture them. Like she know I collect fans she ask me to inspect them and I told her they were in really fine condition and well installed. There was just the one above the table that was on reverse so I put it on downdraft. She was like ''oh yeah now we feel some air from this one.'' They are both missing their decorative Oreo light kit pull chains. There is just the one above the table that is pretty wobbly so I put this one on medium, it wobbles less on that speed. There other one was fine on high. Normal air movement but very quiet fans. When they repainted the ceiling of the kitchen they unscrewed the blades/brackets off the motor to paint the ceiling. I told her it was a really smart move. In the upstairs hall there a 3rd one. It was off. This one is very wobbly. One of the pull chains is very short and the other one is a oversize decorative porcelain one. This continues in the portable fan section...

Looks like a nice house, and the install is really cool in the kitchen area.

At first sight, I thought those Canarm blades were see-through!

It looks like the USA version of the SMC Windsor is the Hampton Bay Bridgeton; it was made from the mid-90s until 2001, where the modified the design slightly. Here's a pic of the 1999 Bridgeton; it's white w/brass, and note the SMC Oreo pulls! Here's the current look (I believe it is still made), as seen in my 2003 catalog:

I was at Réno-Dépot yesterday and I took a few pics of some intresting fans of the new and better looking fans they sell IMO. Since last year they only sell Canarms, Westinghouse and Hunters. No more Nadairs. Pretty much only super ugly stuff usually! Except...... This is the new City Lights. Remember the last one with the sort of disco ball light kit? This is the new version so its called the City Lights II. Still the same fan, they only changed the light kit. 139$. Very expansive for a bottom mount spinner. The Canarm Empire from the Royal Collection. 169$ Very affordable for a Canarm from the Royal Collection. I was very impressed to see that there. They usually don't sell Canarms from the Royal Collection in home centers. And now ready from some awesomeness!? Westinghouse now makes the Splendor in 120V! If you were wondering what a spinner from the early 1980s with a lower canopy, wall controlled, no switch housing with 4 wooden blades would look like in a modern day version the Splendor is your answer! LOOK at that! Its a 48'' 4 wood bladed spinner with lower canopy without switch housing and even better than that its NOT light kit adaptable. Look at the motor its so cute. Same shape as a Laguna. Its remote controlled of course. They also sell the Paddington too for those who need lights. Blades reversible from graphite to silver. Splendor: 129$ and Paddington is 159$.

Switch the upper canopy and blades on that Splendor with something a bit more traditional and I'm sold!
