Whoa. What were they thinking??? It appears that the electrical boxes were actually mounted on their own downrods, and then the fans were hung from there, using the stock downrods. I like the random AB fan. People can be weird sometimes.
And, they could solve all of their problems by simply replacing the fans with a big ass fan or two. It would sure as hell last longer too. Think of the fans after a few years of use, with the blades caked with dust and drooping, and the motors slowly killing themselves because of the bearings gummed up.

Dudes, those arent Graytons, they are the 42"version of that Aloha Breeze. They sell them here. They come with a 3 light kit. The point of the fans is to be very specific over the islands of produce, not blanket the area. Big Ass fans would do something different. However replacing the Aloha Breezes with Envirofans would be great.

I cant find the fan in question online. It is possible that SMC relabled them for WalMart, after all WalMart sold SMC for many years. It is also possible that these are not SMCs/Graytons and in fact just look similar. It is also possible that these are SMCs/Graytons and the WalMart model looked very similar. But that strikes me as odd, why would they use 52" Aloha Breezes, and 42" from another retailer despite the fact that they also carry 42" fans? Anyone note the dual pullchains? Also, in my search, I found this: www.expotv.com/videos/reviews/3/45/Clorox-Disinfectiong-Wipe/63583

At first I did not noticed the second pull chain but by looking closer I did noticed it. All light kits have been removed of these fans and remember that those Hampton Bay Grayton II use a squash single globe on them. So when you removed the light kit with these single fitters, the pull chain for the light kit stays on them. It could not have been for the reverse because we can perfectly see the reverse slide switch on them.
But I noticed that some of them use a stepped canopy(like Encon/Westinghouse) and some others use the more regular canopy.

I noticed the canopies as well.
Do Graytons come with a switch cap for when you remove the light kit?
The WalMart fans came with a 3 light kit rather than a single globe if I remember correctly.
