the one at the first photo by the door. james Sorry to tell you James, all they have a few Hunter fans hanging up, not even the current models (maybe 2-5 years old) . . . out of all the sad fan displays left these days, this one is one of the saddest. You're much better off with, say, a Menards display.

Thanks for lookin out . . . but if you read the text carefully, you'll see that the fan in the pictures is not the Tara, it's the fan it was replaced with. The only thing in the pictures that's original from the Tara is the canopy. That fan, the replacement fan, is a Design House builder fan. Not bad quality, but not interesting either. I have a couple. And they dont quite look like the fan you linked, they have different vents. Remember: Tara: variable speed control, no pullchain, flywheel. Easy as ABC . . . simple as 123 . . .

As hinted previously, I have in fact found some photos of actual Taras. They're nothing spectacular, one is an odd ornate version of the fan I've never seen before, and the other is white and torn apart. But they nevertheless are real live Taras and I thought I would share. I am in the process of updating my Tara Quest page (actually Tammy's updating it I am HTML/JAVA illiterate) and so the photos are there. Check them out, and please let me know what you think. My sketch wasnt half-bad, eh? Seems like I remembered the blade tips slightly different, but everything else was the money shot. www.geocities.com/mt_spiffy/

Where did you get those pics? I can only assume you went in to post-trematic shock when you saw them minus the trematic part.
