That's a shame, our neighbors next door had one of the newer ones.
In the drive thru today I was behind a Toyota Camry, about a 2007-2010 XLE model, in that kind of greenish metallic they had. What a pretty car, I always liked the look of that gen. They even had LED tail lights back then. Somebody on YouTube had an XLE and it even had reclining rear seats, surprising on a Camry.
I also really liked the Avalon from that era, had a very nice interior too.

If I ever get my own place and have the room, I want to get an 06 or 07 Town and Country Limited, in either the green or coppery orange color with the cream interior. There are a lot of them around here, if I could find one that an older person had with lower miles. Just not sure on the powertrain on that, somebody at work had one and both the motor and trans blew at different times, they got it fixed, but traded it later.
I know for some reason in 07 late they started offering a powertrain lifetime warranty on that gen. But only ones sold after I think about August or September of 07. I think they were just trying to clear out the old models before the new gen came out for 08.

When I was a kid we had a 1988 Lincoln Town Car. That was a really fun car, it had so many details to it that you just don't see in cars anymore. I've also rode in a few early 90s Grand Marquis. I always wanted a early/mid 90s Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria or a late 90s Town Car.
My Taurus actually kinda reminds me of a Crown Victoria sometimes, I see it as what a Ford Crown Victoria would be today although it's not remotely the same class of car nor as well built as those old Ford full sizers were.
I tend to think of the Fusion along with the Lincoln MKZ as what the mid-size Taurus was in the 90s/early 00s, whereas the Taurus would be what the Crown Vic used to be along with the Lincoln MKS as the Town Car.

I wondering what will become of Chrysler and Dodge. It seems like Stellantis or whatever Chrysler FCA is these days has focused mostly on the Ram and Jeep brands. They are planning to discontinue the 300 and the Charger/Challenger. So that leaves Dodge with just the Durango and Chrysler just with the Pacifica, so I'm wondering what will happen. Really don't want to see Dodge and Chrysler disappear though.
It's a shame too see those full sized cars go away since there's really not much left in the segment and not for the big 3 either.
I am liking these new Jeep Grand Cherokee L and the Grand Wagonnner, I just feel like they are too complicated. I think they are an improvement over that weird Jeep Commander they used to sell. The Commander made no sense to me the third row was too tight and then you had barely any room in the back if the seats were up.
As a kid I used to draw cars and my aunt got a Navigator, so I remember I drew a concept I had for a 3 row Jeep Grand Cherokee. LOL I also made up a Grand Caravan that had doors for the third row and a glass roof. LOL

I’m surprised Stellantis happened I honestly thought they’d part the company out instead of a pure merger. The ceo of stellantis said he’s giving all the brands ten years to plead their case. Chrysler has the airflow ev concept that just came out. The charger is going to get another generation but go electric. I think electric cars will stay will they take over no.. I truly don’t see that happening in non urban areas and California for a long time. Truly I’m surprised the Chrysler brand is still here what is its point when you really think of it? It’s not true luxury it’s supposed to premium however they have a minivan and full sized sedan that despite me liking the 2015+ ones is not exactly an aspiration at this point. I thought it was stupid when the second gen 200 came out and they were saying dodge will go performance and Chrysler will become the mainstream brand it was dumb on both ends. I was not a fan of separating dodge into dodge and ram however I’ve heard they did that when Cerberus went belly up and there was talks to split Chrysler up at auction. Dodge could have continued where it was and been like where Kia is today in my opinion but have the muscle engines and all. I mean no one is gonna argue a challengers coolness lol.

I think they made a big mistake getting rid of the Grand Caravan, that was their bread and butter for fleet sales and rentals. It will cost them a lot of sales. They came out with a Voyager version of the Pacifica now that's meant more for the budget market but I'm really not seeing any. Also the Journey was a pretty decent crossover, I don't know why there was no room for it in the market.
I think the Grand Wagoneer could be a hit, it's based on the Ram trucks so it's a true full sized SUV like the Tahoe/Expedition. Don't think they'll sell many, I think the price point is around $80K to start. But it is more in Navigator/Tahoe territory of a vehicle.
I'm thinking about getting an older Town and Country when I get my own place but it won't be any time soon with the real estate market as crazy as it is now, so there may not be many to find by then. LOL Want something to drive on the weekends with cargo space for hauling, comfortable but cheap.
As for electric cars, I don't think they'll go as far now as they think. IMO the government went too fast thinking they'd solve everything before it was even practical. I do see a few Teslas here, about one or two a week. One of my neighbors has one. I'd like to see an alternate option for gas cars if they could come up with something that was pollutant free and easily renewable. I don't see how gas or diesel vehicles can just go obsolete at some point, there are way too many to just go all electric suddenly. The electric cars at this point just seem more of a luxury, they're too expensive and having charging stations installed isn't cheap either. They seem more popular at the coast, or as an exotic thing to have.

They seem more popular at the coast, or as an exotic thing to have. The journey was beat up too much by the automotive press and known for being a sub prime vehicle with financing. I do agree it was a versatile vehicle. I’m very partial to Toyota and am ok with select american cars but I was raised that Chrysler vehicles are always the lowest quality and for the the most part my dad is right. I’m not saying every model is crap but you won’t see me buying one though I’d love a wrangler and with the pentastar V6 that’s a very reliable engine. With that personal opinion said lol I will say the journey was fine package in my book and I liked you could get it with a v6. I believe they’d topped making it either due to crash test or fuel economy i can’t remember. The voyager came out and went to fleet only now I believe. It made no sense j mean I get a luxury or premium van but let’s be real how many can you sell j get the fact if there is a market but most people who have a lot of kids are gonna go for crossovers that are gonna pay that premium the percentage that want a van then you’ll have a ubgroup that will want Japanese only marques and then a bunch of people who will get an off lease one point is the dodge van was the mainstream and money maker it was stupid to can. I think the wagoneer/gw will sell I agree it’s overpriced but it is luxurious and has the big engines as well. I don’t think they’ll match GMs full size figures in sales but if they do a dodge or ram version I bet they can really maximize profits! Agreed. I have no desire for an electric car. California May push or ban gas sales but you’re gonna see I think sure federal money in charging and all that but then it’s gonna be a red vs blue thing I’m sure in many ways. I think you’re gonna see a blend of the two like you said but the government is just going full throttle on this where most people I know don’t want electric cars and will not consider one. And that’s on all sorts of differing demographics.

Looks like the Korean cars are still going to stick with the full size sedans, despite Toyota and the American makes ditching them. With the redesigned Azera and I'm sure the Genesis models.

I’m hoping the maxima sticks around.
I can understand Toyota getting rid of the avalon. We always wanted one but the current model is ugly and the Camry has bloated up to avalon size from ten years ago practically.
One car I wish I could get my hands on is a mint condition Cadillac DTS

To be honest I always thought the Camry was a good car but just boringville although the later generations seem really nice. I also did like the 07-13 generation in the XLE trim.

The DTS is only my list of dream cars I’d like a black performance trim one. The original Lacrosse I liked before they updated the grille. The second generation was on my wife liked them when they first came out but since then thinks they’re boring. I agree 100% with that statement on Camrys. The 2015-2017s I liked my grandmom has one an se which is a nice car very smooth 4cylinder. I tried to talk my wife into a Camry when she bought her Elantra but didn’t want the same car as my grandmom and we got the Elantra… we don’t have the Elantra anymore but I can guarantee if we had bought the Camry we would still have it.

My grandpa had the original LaCrosse. I liked it, it seemed very similar to the generation of Impala that came out in 2006. We had a brand new one in driver's ed, the basic model with cloth 3 seat bench seats front and rear and the column shift. I really liked that car, it reminded me of an old car from the 90s for some reason like the Crown Victoria or Caprice. When I bought my first car I really wanted one of those in the LTZ or SS trim but they were too expensive. Then when I got my second car I couldn't find any of them, would have looked into the new gen as well but there weren't any on the lots that I recall. I feel like the 06-13 though (and went fleet for 14-16) though not all that fancy with tech and such, were just good, honest cars. They were also built on the old GM W platform from 1988 so had a lot of history.
I did like the Corolla in the 03-08 gen and the one after it. I kind of wanted an 03-08 in the SE trim but they were also quite expensive given the Toyota brand resale value.
A friend of mine has an 04 Camry SE. I always thought it was a nice riding car with the SE package and pretty nice looking. As far as I know he's still driving it who knows how many miles it has now.
Another friend's mom has a 14 Camry SE with the XSP package, it's a very cool looking car. I rode in it several years ago and it was very nice. She had a Sienna XLE before that which was a very nice van and then when the kids moved out she went with the Camry. I think with the Camry it all depends on how it's configured, the Sport models are a lot more interesting to me.
I've been a little frustrated with my Taurus lately. It's a great highway cruising car but when you get into tight crowded spaces especially crowded parking lots with tight aisles it just feels hard to judge the width. It feels like you're going to sideswipe someone especially when you're trying to make tight left or right turns with somebody stopped on either side, or getting into tight spaces. The Dodge Charger I had as a rental was like that too but with this Taurus I thought I'd be used to it by now but it just feels like it's just a huge car still. I don't know why. The Charger to me was worse because the body stuck out well past the windows just like the old 60s and 70s ones did.
