1999 is exactly right in the period I had imagined for these which was sometime between 1995 to 2005. Impressive that you have been able to see the date on them. Is it because you used the zoom of your camera on the stickers of one that's off? The ones I saw in 2019 were almost all spinning except the CP56 with the short pole and it's located too far away from the glass for me to be able to read the stickers even with a camera zoom plus the stickers on some of them are very dusty. My camera does not zoom very much I was able to see with my own eyes because there was good lighting I can even see it on the short pole one and the second one also off but on a longer pole

Alex,
The violet fan makes me smile, and today, that's a good thing!
I'm still surprised that some people are more comfortable painting things like a fan with a brush instead of using a can of spray paint. It's not that you can't achieve a smooth finish with a brush, but it's a heck of a lot easier spraying.
Thanks for posting the pics.
Take care!
Jim

Jim I am going to put a gold stripe around the motor to make it look like more vintage Alex, Are you going to use gold metallic tape or paint the stripe on? Painting would probably look more vintage than applying metallic tape, but then again I have no knowledge of what was original on them. A gold stripe would look great on both the black and violet fans. If you do decide to paint the stripe on the motor, there are a few articles online where different brands of metallic gold spray paint are reviewed so you can choose what type of gold best matches the original. Also, there are a couple of types of painter's tape designed specifically for producing exceptionally clean lines when removing them after painting. "ScotchBlue Ultra Sharp Lines" tape is one and the other is "FrogTape". Both should be available in Canada and would be excellent choices for masking a stripe to the fan body. I've also seen people who decide to spray paint smooth white labeling tape with their color of choice and then apply that. Less time consuming than masking a stripe and spraying, but the tape seam would be visible and it would be more of a "raised" stripe. Please post some pics after th stripes are on. Take care! Jim

I walked around in plateau Mont-Royal. I saw some very interesting fans, Jean has been there at some locations. 1: canarm twister at a restaurant. It only has three blades and they seem painted 2: Nadair industrial 140 cm in a dépanneur 3: 2 canarm cp36 90 cm at a bar 4: Nadair spinner running on low speed and a 4 saisons Montego with stencil in the back in a closed store You can’t really see in the picture. It is wobbling. The 4 saisons Montego that uses a control 2 palco Carib spinners 120 cm, harbour breeze spinner 107 cm and a Hampton bay Farmington in Café Santropol the palcos are running very slow, they are on a solid state, they used to be with their own 5 speed box control. the harbour breeze spinner running on high speed And a Hampton bay Farmington that replaced a light fixture. There is also another one in the back but it has no blades Hope you enjoyed!

Nice! Jean has pictures of the Nadair Industrial that Philippe has taken a picture of as well & the Nadair Spinner & 4 Saisons Montegos from September 2019. He also has pictures of the 2 Palco Carib Spinners & the Harbour Breeze Spinner from August 2012. He has a video of the Palco Carib Spinners from October 2018. The Hampton Bay Farmington with no blades in the back of the restaurant in the veranda replaced a Nadair Designers Choice & there was also a second one that got replaced with a light fixture. Jean has pictures of those fans as well from August 2012. I find it too bad that the Farmington in the veranda got the blades removed since it is a replacement of another fan & now it's like the veranda has no fans at all. The reason why the blades were removed from that Farmington is because they put more plants in there.

I acquired a nadair ceiling fan, model SG48BL from the early 1980s. It came with a 90 cm downrod. It came with a remote and I even got the manual and the catalog. It is the Canadian version of the CEC, ritz or A&G machinery Corp and the catalog: Nadair Bentley also known as the « I-fan » Nadair héritage (GE vent) Nadair « SG » (CEC/ritz/A&G machinery Corp) nadair « fan king » also golden fan electric spinners

I'm not sure exactly what is the larger spinner close to the window in the stained glass shop.
I love café Santropol. I've been there many times. I'm glad to see the Palcos are still there.
The motor of the new Nadair you got is so thick!
That catalog is amazing and clarifies a lot of things about Nadair and confirms models names. Their GE vent model had been called Héritage since the beginnings and they did have a link with Golden Fan and CEC. Fan King is a name we often see on Golden Fans around here so it all make sense. I never actually saw a Nadair Heritage with an integrated variable speed knob. It appears that the Heritages they show in this catalog seems to be made a little differently than the mid 1980's model I have. These are probably also related to CEC. What they mention about the blades is very cool information that's new for me. It explains why Nadairs from that period are found with so many different blades for the same models. The fact that the Golden Fan metal fan was their economical model and the TAT model is more upscale matches exactly what we know regarding the quality of these fans. We can see Nadair had a different logo at that time and were based in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montréal rather than in Laval.

Here are the sightings of august: all taken in Tadoussac 2 canarm catalyst II 107 cm in a gift shop. They both wobble. The front one was on low and the one in the back was on high updraft. A quick video of those 2 fans: In a souvenir store is the 1990s canarm spinner 90 cm in a weird install. The fan can’t spin because of the stuffed animal. Installed just over a shelf. A Casablanca four seasons II or III 132 cm in a café. There is also another one upstairs which I did not photographed. A video of it: hope you enjoyed!

Thank you for sharing these sightings.
I'm not sure the second fan is a Canarm. It's something that was sold at Distributions aux Consommateurs if I'm not mistaken so the brand would have been either Harbour Breeze or Decorator's Choice.
The 3rd fan is a Casablanca Four Seasons II from the mid to late 1990's. The 3rd variation uses an actual Hang-Tru canopy.

I might as well do the sightings of September because why not. first, a lot of canarm CP56 140 cm in a grocery store in Ange Gardien. I always go there when I am on my way to my cottage. I think there are 15 fans in total. Here is a few of them. Another area of the store with six canarms a video of all the fans: I also saw a awesome nadair Arc-en-ciel in a cottage/shed running on medium
A video of it:
I also went to the plateau mont Royal, which I already have pictures of in page 12 I also got 2 other fans, a Canarm Murano 107 cm from may of 2002 and a canarm in white and polished brass from November of 1992. The Canarm Murano came from my neighbors downstairs that are remodeling, unfortunately, it has a split/broken blade but works fine. Here is where the fan used to be: This thing was very dusty. I got the 1992 canarm from the trash but it works fine and it isn’t dirty. Hope you enjoyed!
