What will you do with the SMC and what control it uses right now? The SMC is controlled by a variable speed and it makes a little it uses a variable speed because if it was on a 3 or 4 speed, the low speed will not work because the bearings are very stiff Mine aslo uses one because it stalls on low speed

Jean has pictures & a video of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & last skylights that he took in late 2019. He unfortunately couldn't get the other ones since those ones we're blocked off due to the area being closed due to renovations. There was one skylight you couldn't get due to that area being closed due to renovations but you did get a video of a 56" 140 cm Banvil/Envirofan Silver Line in the second dome shaped skylight since you were able to see through the frost in that one. You couldn't see through the frost in the other 2 but according to Jean when he saw the silhouette of those 2 fans he said they were Canarm CP56 by their shape. Did you take a picture of the Silver Line as well? I think the 5th skylight is the one that guy took a video of in 2007.

So most of the other skylights have recent Canarm CP36. It would have been nice if there would have been more 1980's Canarm CP, especially if they were a 1980's CP56. What's interesting and odd is that at least one of the CP36, the one in the 7th skylight, seems to be in fact a CP56 with 90 cm blades on it. It might be an illusion but it really appears that the motor is thicker and wider than the regular motor for a recent CP36. If it's really a CP56 with short blades, it would have extremely fast speeds!
Here's the video I took in December 2019 at night time. It's much easier to see.

Congratulations for acquiring a Canarm Antiquity in your favorite finish. The antique brass ones are more common as they were sold for longer. At Rona they lasted till 2006 so the one you found must be in some of the last ones made. The white and brass ones are harder to find. They were probably discountinued in 2001 or even earlier. Your white and brass one does not have the Canarm Originals logo? The housing uses four 15 watts bulbs?

Maybe mine is relabeled something else The bulbs that originally âme with it were all burned up so I used the antiquity other bulbs

At that time the name of their ceiling fan line was still called Pleasantaire and that name lasted till 1997. The Originals and Royal Collections must have came out in 1998. I know for a fact that certain models such as the Atom was first sold in a Pleasantaire box in the mid 1990's and later was part of the Originals collection till 2006.

I did not noticed that though. So they completely mismatched the blades and motors between a CP36 and a CP56. A CP36 has 140 cm blades and a CP56 has 90 cm blades. One must have unusually slow speeds and one very fast speeds.

1999 is exactly right in the period I had imagined for these which was sometime between 1995 to 2005. Impressive that you have been able to see the date on them. Is it because you used the zoom of your camera on the stickers of one that's off? The ones I saw in 2019 were almost all spinning except the CP56 with the short pole and it's located too far away from the glass for me to be able to read the stickers even with a camera zoom plus the stickers on some of them are very dusty.
