This Tercel will not die, its got a white rust free fender on it now(the original one was very rotted) and it has a set of alloys off a 2001-2002 Toyota Corolla S, rolling on 185/60/R14 tires from the junkyard. Burns a quart of oil every 1500 miles or so, I drive it HARD, full throttle pulls almost everyday. I think im gonna be waiting a while before I pop that 5E-FE and swap it with a 4A-GE. Gonna need a new passenger control arm and passenger front caliper soon though. She keeps truckin'. Nothing has changed on the F150 except for the addition of some Weathertech rain guards.

Update, bought the 2007 F150. Havent done much to it and probably won't do a whole lot. So far I've put my BackRack on, replaced interior, plate, reverse and front marker lights with LEDs, took the running boards off, added towing mirrors from my 2013(because why not) and done a projector retrofit in Ebay clear housings. I LOVE driving it, its not fast by any means but the M5OD-R2 has great feel and typical long throws. The 4.2L V6 is bulletproof, even to the point where Ford deemed the 04-08 4.2s as "Industrial Certified" and sold them as ESG-642 from 1999-2015 for industrial applications such as stationary engines and LPG forklift engines. It has good low end torque and falls on its face above 4000rpm. I shift it at 1800-2000rpm when normally driving and it does fantastic. I still have the Tercel, had to put some money into it over the winter on small things(new muffler and new rear struts), but it has been DEAD reliable all winter. Its in need of some brakes and has a front end squeak when the steering wheel is turned to the right, but its still running great. Gonna do the brakes in a couple weeks, only cost $48CAD for pads and rotors SHIPPED to my door from RockAuto. Gotta love small econoboxes. It also got a projector retrofit from a bunch of spare parts I had kicking around. Only had to buy an H4 relay harness, so I essentially upgraded my night vision tenfold over the stock H4 halogen bulbs for $30CAD. It also got a pair of 5 inch halogen spotlights from Princess Auto which I put some 55w yellow H3 bulbs in and use them as fog lights in crappy weather.

Late 80s generic Huggers tend to be decent performers for the price, (brand depending)

Fog lights on a base? And usually I'm not a fan of a regular cab for a daily driver, at all, but at least those had the extra space behind the seats. XL is base, STX is one up, its essentially the poor man's FX2/FX4. The fog lights are a pretty uncommon option. The regular cab is fantastic, no one will try and bum me for rides because I have enough room for me and the gf only lol. I wish it had an 8ft bed but the 6.5ft is fine, the truck is too clean to pass up for something like that

They still have the PA meet, someone else took it over, which is great they continued it. It's a bit further than it was but it's a larger setup. They also have the Indiana museum meets once a year in September as well, and FanFair 2019 is this summer in Indy with Tom Frampton hosting. Is FanFair at Fanimation?

I think ultimately Ford will change that strategy and keep something or partner up with VW to rebadge something to keep some returning customers. The Dart and 200 were complete failures and junk, the 200 at least got the Pentastar Engine option but that Transmission has been problematic the entire time. I know a lot of Cherokees are hit or miss too because of it. The Focus was awful with the Powershift transmission as well as the Fiesta to anyone looking. I think Chevy will continue most of there Cruze and Malibu production. I think anything below the Cruze (Spark and Sonic will be chopped) and the Impala may go pending what happens with the whole Cadillac diabolical. If they truly replace the XTS with something rear wheel drive I would say the Impala and LaCrosse are done. Meanwhile Cadillac will continue to fail. The Corolla will last forever however I find them to underpowered. The Civic I didn't go with because of the CVT, the corolla one I could tolerate but I know 2 people who as soon as there Civics went out of warranty the CVT's blew. I just heard that this is happeneing. GM is shutting down plants, and the Cruze, Impala, Volt, LaCrosse, CT6 and XTS are being discontinued. They're doing it to push electric cars apparently. It seems like when the auto companies finally start to get nice cars these days, they discontinue them. Clearly you havent driven a Corolla XRS with the 2ZZ-GE, absolute high revving animal. Especially when modded

The Taurus SEL we have at our used car dealership is selling for around $20k with 8k miles on the odometer, and it's a 2017 with the non-turbo V6 and FWD. Pretty basic, but it has satellite radio, Bluetooth, remote start, and power seats (cloth seats). You may be able to get a good deal on a brand new Taurus since production ends in the spring with Ford phasing out car production. They are pretty comfortable cars from what I understand. They're small inside for their size, the Fusion is more spacious

Did a projector retrofit on the Tercel with my old setup from the F150, I love how they turned out and the lighting upgrade was WELL worth it.
