Do you use a step-up transformer to run these foreign market fans or something? Wouldn’t it be better to look carefully before asking question? Sticker says 110 volt. No I can't read.

Doing a spring purge and these are both on the chopping block. They both run well and are complete. The industrial is missing one of the four mounting screws, easy fix. Price is: Make offer on one or both + shipping. This forum is pretty dead these days but I figured I may as well put them here if anyone wants them. Synlix/4 Seasons Venair 36" spinner Encon/Nadair:

I wouldn't mind one of these junkers in 30" just for the obscurity of it.

Is there a single Leading Edge/Dayton fan industrial out there that ISN'T run within an inch of its life?

Current model is fine, I just want it cause it'd be humorous cause Mitsubishi is best known here for their cars.

How do you run these here? Aren't they 220V/50Hz? Most of contemporary indian ceiling fans have the advantage of using motors that have the ability to perform well at low voltage (HPLV motors) to withstand voltages fluctuations and continue to work well on lower voltages without loosing too much RPMS. This is not false advertisement, they definitely work well at various voltages. Very convenient. The extra little 10 Hz does help to compensate for the lower voltage too. Most the speeds are shown on 120 volts. For high speed I use a combination of autotransformers and a setp up transformers to run them at a voltage of about 208 volts. 240 volts at 60 Hz might be a little brutal for these. Unless you really have a regular need for the crazy high speed these have, these are totally usable at various voltages. Hm, neat. I've always wanted a Mitsubishi industrial ceiling fan lol

Catalogs are neat but the reason I don't collect them is I would buy one, flip through it once and then never touch it again. IMO not worth the money to me. Same reason why I don't buy magazines anymore.

Is there a performance benefit in curved vs straight blades? Are the curves behaving like the winglets on my BAF? Curved blades disperse the air over a broader area. Straight blades disperse the air over a narrower area making them feel more powerful when you stand under them.

old(pre-DC) Canarm CP56s are great fans for the money, on-par or slightly worse than a Silverline but much cheaper and more aesthetically pleasing IMO. They are plenty for a personal garage especially since 56" Gold lines are ~$200 EACH, adds up fast when you buy a handful of the plus a control, plus shipping. I also have no idea on how good the DC Canarms are, the blades kind of turn me off of them. Westinghouses are garbage. Bronze Lines are okay if you just want cheap air movement Silverlines are good Canarms are good Gold Lines are the best I mean, unless your friend plans on running the living daylights out of these fans, Bronze lines would be fine. If he is gonna run them hard, get something a bit more robust. I mean, I don't know what entails "running the living daylights" out of a fan, but this is Texas and it gets pretty hot and humid in the summers. They're going to get run on medium to high 9 hours a day, 5 days a week for at least 6 months of the year. They'll never be on 24/7. Addressing the fiscal standpoint: When you think about it, a mediocre drum fan from Home Depot or Lowes is at least $200, and moves a fraction of the air with considerably more noise, plus they take up precious floor space. So investing in a few Gold lines pays for itself in many ways. My 10' Essence cost me four times the price of 4 Gold lines (though I absolutely love it and would buy it again), so I think there's a good value to be had here. Yeah I would invest in Silverlines or better, I live in Canada and while I do run my fans pretty much all year, they are mostly on low/medium. I'm sure Canarms would do the trick too, I've seen some ran on full speed, non stop for years on end and still work fine. They are VERY common up here so I see alot of them, by far the most common industrial you'll run across.

Fiancée caught it in May, basically knocked her right out for 2-3 days. It took about 2 months to get her lung capacity back up to spec, She is fine now. I somehow did not catch it despite sleeping beside her the whole time she had it anticipating that I would eventually catch it from her.
