He got it for the purpose of reclaiming the heat in that room.. it runs continuously during the winter on reverse and occasionally during the summer on downdraft.. With the way the blades are I can't imagine it moves that much air on reverse, but he said it works more effectively on reverse than it does on forward.. I can see what you mean by the blades but mine works very well on reverse as well. I almost wish it had a slower speed for when I don't need it on. Like a nice aesthetic low speed. It goes pretty slow on low but I can still feel a slight breeze from it.

I'm not sure how much slower you could get it to go,, as it is the top speed is only 75 RPM which is still slower than many fans' slow speed..

It definitely moves a ton of air for spinning so slow. I almost wonder what it would be like if the fan had a hyper speed setting and it went at least the average medium speed of regular fans.

Alright thanks. I'll try and get a look for myself but that wouldn't be easy given the fan is so high. I'll check the box and see if all the paperwork is still in there. However you'll be happy to know I went to Walmart and took a picture of all the ceiling fans in the isle. There were 4 companies. Mainstays, Chapter, Home Elegance, and Principle. The images are still on my phone. I'll email them to myself and post them shortly after I post this response.

First picture: Mainstays, Chapter, and Home Elegance. Attachment DeletedSecond Picture: Honeywell Attachment DeletedThird Picture: Honeywell Attachment DeletedI like the look of the Chapter and Home Elegance ceiling fans. However I'm not too sure about the quality. And I'd say it's over priced. Seems to me like a $20 ceiling fan if that.

My Grayton said it on the motor I believe. Either that or it was the paperwork. I'll have to check. Anyways I posted the Honeywell fans above. Do you see the Chapter ceiling fan? It's actually Antique Brass

But regardless thanks for posting them,, while they may be in brass, their styling is still disappointing.. Too modern for my preference, I was hoping they would be a little more traditional.. I will give it they aren't as cheap looking as many of the fans on the market today..Would be interesting to know the specs of the motors..
