Best fan #5: the 54" Fanimation Ascension ceiling fan. It looks a lot like an industrial, but it has 4 blades like some industrials in Canada do. Also, it can be installed in a residential environment, kinda like the Emerson loft, their residential heat fan lookalike. This thing moves almost as much as an industrial, which is just great; good decision on fanimation's part. I like the white one better.. but for me this is probably my favorite new fan in this thread.. its a spinner! Probably one of few, if not the only, left on the market!

Looks pretty boss, right? It actually looks classic.. which is on the verge on non-existent in today's market.. To top that, its specs are pretty good.. I don't know how much they cost, but I really want one for my office..

However, Fanimation has not released pricing for the Ascension, as it will be released a little later in the year.

They changed the blade pattern of Casablanca to match all of Hunter's fan lines, one universal pattern for both companies. I think that's a good change for the general public though, consumers often got frustrated between standard and badge when it came to Casablanca, especially when ordering online and having to figure out what they need. That's a whole other aspect of this thing, showrooms are dying with the advent of online shopping, and companies are making it easier to put your fan together and order it online, thus the Custom Casablanca and My Emerson Fan hype, and all the accessories being streamlined to fit anything. I personally am still a consumer who would like to go see and touch the products in a showroom at least before considering purchasing, I think it's sad that a lot of showrooms aren't faring well in the internet age. So far I've still had luck with OEM Casablanca parts from Hunter, as recently as a couple months back. I still say they just didn't bother to print various different manuals for each variant of Panama. Installation is all the same and they flywheel is part of the motor unit, I think they just feel it's irrelevant information to the customer these days. In 20 years when/if that flywheel conks out, they'll either figure out how to fix it if they really care enough, or they'll just replace the whole fan which I think is the expected remedy. Silly but true. This is the example that always pops into my mind from Casablanca themselves, because I think the fan itself looks particularly unoffensive. Yes, like I said, it looks like a newer Hunter fan instead of Casablanca, but I don't think it looks BAD. I'm not surprised they did such a thing. Where is this picture from?

If I recall correctly its somewhere around 6,000 CFM,, which is about a Panama.. so its a good air mover.. but quality industrials like Envirofans are upwards of 40,000..

I posted it in another similar thread to this. I really look forward for this one to come out. It's probably the best new ceiling fan a US company have came up with in the last years.

Maybe a 96" or above big ass industrial could move 40000 CFM's, but 60" and under Max out around 15000 CFMs. CFM for the ascension is about 6700 CFM.

The Ascension moves exactly 6,659 CFM.. Which is good for a 54" fan..

The Panama picture is from Casablanca's Instagram, I believe it was on their Facebook page too, from when they donated multiple new Panamas to the Mississippi State Veterans Home. One thing I will say about Hunter/Casablanca is that they do a lot of amazing community service, a lot of which incorporates the product. I just think it's cool to give back through ceiling fans, regardless of what the fans are.

I personally am still a consumer who would like to go see and touch the products in a showroom at least before considering purchasing, I think it's sad that a lot of showrooms aren't faring well in the internet age. It does indeed appear as if showrooms are on the way out. It's a sad situation, however this is a reality we will have to face. At least lighting showrooms in my area aren't entirely obsolete yet, as you do still find individuals purchasing chandeliers and ceiling fans. So far I've still had luck with OEM Casablanca parts from Hunter, as recently as a couple months back. I still say they just didn't bother to print various different manuals for each variant of Panama. Installation is all the same and the flywheel is part of the motor unit, I think they just feel it's irrelevant information to the customer these days. In 20 years when/if that flywheel conks out, they'll either figure out how to fix it if they really care enough, or they'll just replace the whole fan which I think is the expected remedy. Silly but true. That makes perfect sense Cole. For the most part, this latest generation of home-buyers in particular couldn't be bothered to read about their fan's flywheel. Imagine if you weren't a fan collector. Would you honestly care if most Casablanca Panamas had an XLP-2000 motor or not? Since (as you've said in the past), the marketing for stack motor fans has been relatively poor in recent years, the answer would most likely be no. This is the example that always pops into my mind from Casablanca themselves, because I think the fan itself looks particularly unoffensive. Yes, like I said, it looks like a newer Hunter fan instead of Casablanca, but I don't think it looks BAD. Is it just me, or does the switch housing mildly resemble what you'd encounter on a Monte Carlo fan? Otherwise, the fan looks like a home-center Hunter model of sorts... I noticed that on their YouTube channel. Hopefully it's more than some investors attempting to sell more fans by appearing socially responsible. Regardless of the intent though, it was indeed a kind act. Here's the full video featuring Casablanca fans if anybody is interested:
