My metal one of these flies also, I imagine this one probably goes a little faster. These are very cool fans, I definitely want to get one. The blades look really nice.

Love that Tatung, especially the way that switch housing and motor combination.. Those Moss Caribbean Breeze ceiling fans are neat in that color and size being 4 blades, seems to be a more rare combination.. Great finds..

Here are the rest of the fans from Montana. I only just put the first video up yesterday, but I have them all done now so I can post the pics. It's an entire mini-haul within the haul, four cool discontinued finish Emerson Premiums. These are all my first Emerson fans with uplights, I was totally freaking out in the store finding this many at once. There was one more I believe Olde Brick Premium motor I left behind mainly because I couldn't find the blades/blade arms for it, but also because I was pretty well at the maximum end of my budget. The other things of interest I left behind due to budget and lack of hauling space were two AB Homestead Universals in just okay shape, a bright copper Craftmade (Decorative or CXL, I didn't ever look at it closely because it was MANGLED), and a bladeless PB FPV top-mount in rough shape. Here are the Emerson pictures. Sorry, didn't take pictures of the 4 blade configurations but they're of course in the videos. They're all in pretty good shape, there is some light scratching on some of the switch caps, and blade arms as the blades were wrapped up in shrink wrap. Also a bit of blade warpage from being wrapped so tightly in shrink wrap. A couple have really crooked flywheels. Some missing screws, nothing that can't be replaced. Navajo White. Originally had a super long downrod, I cut off a little section of the end to make a short rod for ease of filming, and also for potential installation: Weathered Bronze. Probably my favorite of them all, the finish is beautiful. I actually bought a cool light kit in this finish NIB many years ago, I never thought I'd find a fan to match but here it is all these years later. Bearings on this one are a little more stiff, and if it hasn't been run for awhile there's an occasional light squeak from them. I dripped a few drops of oil in the bottom one and it seems a little better now. This one has the most crooked flywheel of them all I think, as well as the most-warped blades . I actually thought I had all Olde Brick fans aside from the Navajo White, but discovered when got home that this one was different. Olde Brick #1. The other one with a crooked flywheel. Light kit came on it, but the glass didn't. It's genuine Emerson water glass though, I took it out of the NIB Weathered Bronze kit that was aforementioned. This one's kinda noisy, not sure if it's the light kit or what, but it buzzed a lot. I seem to have a hit and miss thing with Premiums, some I get are totally silent and others have a weird buzz that I can't alleviate. I can never find what's causing it, I've tried on my Greystone one too and no amount of sound isolation, etc. changes anything. Olde Brick #2. This one is a little better, but it also buzzes quite a bit. Otherwise not much to say about it, I just like having twins.

The Tatung is very cute. I love the stencil on it. A similar canopy to this was reused later on by Canarm and Litex it seems.
I love the Moss, the speeds are insane. For the wood blade models, brown 90 cm is the less common combination.
Bravo for finding Emersons with uplights.

Switch housing isn't particularly large, the proportions are kinda wacky on this thing. Andrew pointed that aspect out and I see it now myself. I was glad to find this one, there was a white one of these in a local ACE Hardware before they remodeled, along with two [what I believe to be] straight blade 4 Seasons industrials. Like the 4 Saisons company from Montréal? Interesting that they would have theses fans there. Maybe they were bought in Manitoba. That the 140 cm metal blade fan with a Caribbean Breeze motor that you saw that had a lower canopy like the 4 Saisons version.

Yes, that 4 Seasons. I'm fairly certain they were two of these but 48", I haven't seen these exact things under any other make so far other than 4 Seasons. www.vintageceilingfans.com/membergalleries/gallery/showimage.php?i=407&c=34The Caribbean Breeze thing with the lower canopy was a different store. I guess anything is possible with that one, but it's not like we haven't seen that type of fan under a million different makes, unlike the above fans.

Sooo I was sent Fanimation fanSync (previously named fanLink), as you may have seen on my YouTube channel or other social media by now. Not gonna do a separate thread for this one since it's been released and people know about it, but of course it was fun to play with just as SIMPLEconnect was. The major thing I LOVE about this system is that they actually thought to include/offer accessory controls for operation outside of app use. Otherwise the major operations are similar, I also like that their timer goes down to just 1 minute as opposed to the 15 minute minimum of the Hunter version. However, Hunter's scheduling functions are way more advanced which is the greatest thing I found about SIMPLEconnect. All in all, an interesting comparison and I'm so honored to have opportunity from Fanimation to do this.

I though it was the same as on the 4 Saisons Classic and Commander Angel. The version that 4 Saisons offered with the Caribbean Breeze motor is just like the fan above but with the a Caribbean Breeze motor so the canopies have nothing to do with Moss or Tatung.

I think I like this concept better, being able to use the controls outside of the app is key.. Also the light timer only going down to 15 minutes is kind of ridiculous.

If the two systems were merged, it would really be something spectacular. As is, I think both systems could use additional features to be both useful and functional. fanSync brings in all the key features, but if it had the scheduling capability it'd definitely be installed on the family room fan so that I could schedule a light to come on at like 4:30 PM during the winter months. My wheelchair-bound mom is usually reclined in her power chair in the late afternoon, and with the shorter days she often sits in the dark (other than the tv) unless someone remembers to turn a light on for her beforehand, which usually doesn't happen. This is where I see some of the usefulness of the scheduling features. But likewise, I can't install the SIMPLEconnect because my parents hands down need to be able to fully control the fan and light without the app, and I have to say I don't really want to be bound to the app either.

I didn't know "it'd" was even a word LOL Anyways with the way technology is today, it really surprises me that these controls have the impracticality issues they do. I didn't see much use in the scheduling personally and was wondering why you kept talking about it, but now I could see how that would work out well for you. I wouldn't mind having a scheduling option on the fan of some sorts to turn the ones upstairs on during the peak hours of the sun, but all things considered going upstairs and turning them on manually isn't that much of a chore. What would be really great is if it had a temperature-based control, if I remember correctly Hampton Bay has this option on one of their remote controlled fans.

It's a learning curve on everything, IMO asking the first generations of these controls to be flawless is like asking for the first computers or smartphones to be flawless. It's gonna take time, I think that's a big part of why Hunter bothered with me, they want feedback from someone who's used a bunch of control systems and knows what a ceiling fan control should do. The app does everything and more, I've given my feedback across multiple media outlets that accessory controls would dramatically improve the functionality of the system.
I do find some usefulness in the scheduling, but I keep raving about it because of the progressiveness of it. Nobody's done anything so advanced on a universal control system before, and I think it's the start of what else is possible. The overall system could use tweaks and improvements, but it's an impressive start.
Definitely agree that temperature-based control should be next for these systems! Hampton Bay did have that capability, as did Casablanca Comfort•Touch, both of which were pretty advanced for their respective applications and time periods. Once again, Big Ass Fans is leading the way there since SenseME can communicate with Nest thermostats.
