Hope this turns out well. I bought a Classic Fan from Adrian which was supposed to be "like new". I would personally call it far from mint and the packaging was a bit of a tragedy, but he gave me a great deal and I didn't make a fuss over it. Think the only other fan I've gotten from him was my GGC which is in awesome shape.

For those of you that are interested in this as much as I am, I just checked the tracking and the expected delivery is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a nice surprise that would be, considering I work all day tomorrow Fridays are usually pretty lame. This is far from what I would consider to be a "great deal", so the packaging better be pretty good (considering I paid $50 for that alone). The fans look pretty good in the pictures, so I am anticipating they be in pretty good condition. Did you buy from him through eBay?

I bought my GGC through eBay. The Classic Fan was on eBay but I did a separate thing with his seller in the end to get the better price.

That's looking great Jordan! I need to get my Original up and running sometime I'm honestly not surprised about the mismatched blade brackets or the bend blades (being that it's from Adrian).

The blade iron...that's just odd since they were selling 4 identical fans; all the irons should be the same. The bending, that's typical with nearly any fan shipped. I have to say, I was extremely impressed with the packaging, I definitely got my $50 worth. You could have thrown that thing off a house and it probably would have survived.

I believe that one was made somewhere around between 1982-85.. I'm looking at my chart and can't find the exact serial numbers, but that label is from the early to mid 1980s era.. The serial numbers backwards would be 0581 indicating the month/year, but I thought that label was newer than that.. It's obvious that Adrian P got them from a place where they were installed on vaulted ceilings, I've seen those canopies on originals before when installed on ceilings like that... I'm not surprised that you would see some small flaw like that dealing with that seller, talking about the blade bracket that is.... Overall in the situation you are in, it is pretty satisfying.. But someone like me on the other hand that can find originals for a dime a dozen that's complete with everything original from blade bracket to canopy, I would not be, but I also would not spend that much on an original either... If I were to pick up every Hunter original I've seen since 2002. I'd probably have a collection that consists with mostly Hunter Originals, but then again I could be like Adrian P, and could have bought them and then sell them on eBay for $250...

Good thing the installer bought vaulted ceiling adaptor instead of using ball & sockets.

Nice Original, Jordan. The fan is from 1981, according to the serial number. This would make a great living room install, that is where I have my 1989 3 speed original. I also bought it off ebay a few years ago. It was $179.00, but new in the box.

Bravo. The cane blades are beautiful. The pictures are actually very good.
