Either go older (vintage) or get a pre 2011 Hunter Fan if you are looking not to spend alot!!

Would this fan be good for a living room?

Would this fan be good for a living room? Honestly, no given the low CFM-rating. As many have stated, vintage fans possess far higher quality.

Would this fan be good for a living room? If the living room is 12X12 or maybe a little larger, or if the couch will be right under the fan, then it will work okay.. I have it in my 12X12 (approx) computer room and it produces a gentle breeze around the room.. Its nothing strong, on a warm day it needs to be supplemented by a portable fan..

Personally, I say if a ceiling fan requires the assistance of a portable fan, it is either undersized or underpowered... Its certainly doesn't have the power of something vintage, but there are much worse fans out there, in terms of both performance and appearance..
