Yup What's funny, is I didn't even know about this model until a few days ago! Is it a recently released model? So you had the Heritage version I gather. When did you get it? I gather the same thing. It would have been purchased in the early-mid 2000s. The new ones? Most of those aren't really good CFLs. The ones I was referring to were the vintage Japanese-made GE Compax bulbs. My grandfather has a few older CFLs, they are Philips Marathon bulbs. I have 2 of them. They are okay, and they've lasted a while, but they're also huge and don't fit into anything. Also, did you have any luck with the San Marino manual? No, but I haven't given up yet. I know I made a video of it at some point, so that will give me an idea as to when it came from, but I'll keep looking. I know I have the manuals for some of those earlier Hampton Bay fans from the old house, I just don't understand where they are.

With the picture you showed me, I'm starting to think it might have been something else. What other brands did WalMart commonly sell during this time? That is a good point. Older CFL bulbs aren't very compatible with smaller light fixtures. And the new ones aren't very compatible either because they constantly burn out. Therefore, CFLs are just a lousy choice! You don't have to look if you don't want to Really?

What other brands did WalMart commonly sell during this time? In terms of fans? Home Creations and (of course) Mainstays come to mind... Yes, really

Home Creations, I've never heard of that one before. Sounds real high quality! Were they also selling Heritage at the time? Oh it was "quality alright." Home Creations fans were Heritage-made. Their models primarily consisted of 30" huggers I believe. Also, another brand just came to mind: "Better Homes And Gardens," although I'm unsure if that was exclusive to Wal-Mart. Oh good, what a relief because I still can't find the dumb thing... And I though that sometimes I could be unorganized!

I believe Better Homes and Gardens is a company on its own, I don't think it has anything more to do with WalMart other than WalMart has sold some of their products. Home Creations is probably what the brand was of the 30" hugger, either that or Heritage is going to be my guess. And I though that sometimes I could be unorganized! I only have a few places where I keep instruction manuals, I can't imagine where else I would have placed it. I personally wouldn't have thrown it out, I suppose its possible maybe someone else could have. I thought I remember seeing it not that long ago, but I don't remember where.

I know they did sell fans at Wal-Mart though. The more I think about it, Home Creations makes the most sense. For your viewing pleasure, here is a larger, non-Heritage Home Creations model: Another brand that I just thought of is Home Trends. I'm not sure if they sold 30" huggers though.

I have a garden hose which is branded Better Homes and Gardens. we got it a long time ago, so its likely that it came from WalMart. That's a reasonable-looking fan, does it actually have gloss blades? Someone needs to brush up on their camera skills though... If Heritage didn't make this, then who made the motor in it? Home Trends is not a make I'm familiar with. Were they a WalMart specific? Just to throw another brand out there, there's also Home Essentials, of which I have a fan from them. It didn't come from WalMart to my knowledge.

Yes, it does appear to have glossy blades. If I had to guess the manufacturer, I'd say King Of Fans. Home Trends is not a make I'm familiar with. Were they a WalMart specific? Yes, Home Trends was a Wal-Mart brand. Just to throw another brand out there, there's also Home Essentials, of which I have a fan from them. It didn't come from WalMart to my knowledge. I've seen Home Essentials ceiling fans before. They're Heritage-made. I don't believe they sold those at Wal-Mart.

You took that way to literally King Of Fans is my guess... What else is new. I've seen Home Essentials ceiling fans before. Thy're Heritage-made. I don't believe they sold those at Wal-Mart. The fan I have is a portable fan, not a ceiling fan. I didn't know they made ceiling fans. Did they happen to make that silver foam-bladed ceiling fan?
