Low Profile V is really only called "V" because it's 5 blades, not 5th generation. By the way, my local train station has 4 AB ones.
As of August 2017, one of them was replaced with 52" antique brass Harbor Breeze Centreville because of the mounting bracket issue that happened in May 2017 that made the bar owner think that the motor finally died. I did keep that Low Profile V and it still works well. A video:

By all means the 1st generation low profile Yes I agree with you 100% I love the 1st generation low profile. It's one of my favorite ceiling fans by Hunter.

Couldn't agree more. The first one in 42 inches looks amazing. So does the Low Profile II and the V. They start getting lower quality and not as good looking at the Low Profile III in my opinion.

The first one is probably my favorite,, but actually I quite like them all except for the IV, they ruined the line with that one in my opinion.. but that doesn't come to any surprise given Hunter's recent trends

I'd have to agree with you, the first one is awesome. The II is ok and the III doesn't look very good to me. Especially comparing it to the older Low Profiles. The 42 inch 4 blade Low Profile III is the best out of the third model in my opinion. But still not nearly as good looking as the first model.

And they perform quite well also..
