Here's what's new in the world of ceiling fans for 2015:

Casablanca-

-The IT3 Panama is discontinued, replaced by The New Panama XLP.
-The three T3 control fans available are The Victorian, The Mission, and The 19th Century.
-The IT3 Holliston is discontinued.
-A DC motor version of The Fellini (a previous Hunter model) is new.
-The Hunter Covent Garden is now The Casablanca Covent Garden.
-The Capistrano Gallery is now The Oak Hall.
-The Hunter Fellini is now The Casablanca Fellini.
-The Hunter Tribeca is now the Casablanca Tribeca, available in a new 52" size or the 60" size.

Emerson-

-The Northwind Series, other than The 29" Northwind, has been discontinued.
-New Models: The Portland Eco, The Crofton, The Aira Eco, The Bradshaw (renamed), The Welland, The Veranda (The Bella outdoor model),
-The Carrera Grande and Carrera Grande Eco gain a smaller variant: the Carrera.
-The two-bladed tropical-styled fan with the K55XL model has been discontinued.
-The dual-headed fan has has been discontinued.
-The Cornerstone is now only available in a single finish: Oil-Rubbed Bronze.
-Some Tommy Bahama models have been discontinued.
-The Devonshire is no longer available in Appliance White.
-The Builder Series is no longer available in some finishes.

Fanimation:

-New finishes: The Stafford, The Odyn, The Embrace 52"/44", The Kaya.
-The old DC motor Islander is renamed The Big Island.
-The old Harbor Breeze Townsend is resurrected as The Pearson.
-An LED light version of The Zonix is now available.
-A new belt-driven fan, The Kellan, is available.

Hunter-

-The Original is now damp-rated (2384x series) with new blade arms and supposedly a new motor.
-The 42" version of The Classic Original has been discontinued.
-The 1886 Series, other than the 1886 Midas Black Limited Edition with two blades, has been discontinued.
-The Caraway ( a restyled The Coastal Breeze Plus 44" with The Five Minute Fan) replaces The Auberville.
-A 46" version of the Home Depot-exclusive The Oakhurst, The Haverton, becomes available, and is not Home Depot-exclusive.
-The Louden is now Lowe's exclusive.
-The 52" Black Classic Original is no longer sold in-store at Lowe's, and is sold exclusively online in Chestnut Brown, Black, or White.
-New models: The Reinert, The Matheston.
-A 42" version of The Builder Series becomes available: The Builder Small Room.
-The Covent Garden is now The Casablanca Covent Garden, and the Brass finish is discontinued.
-The Fellini is now The Casablanca Fellini, with a DC motor model: The Fellini DC.
-The models that became Casablanca models are now exclusively Casablanca models.
-The Tribeca is now Th Casablanca Tribeca, available in a new 52" size or the 60" size.
-Some Hunter Prestige Series models are now available in-store, online, or special order at Lowe's.

Monte Carlo:

-New models: The Bravo, The Homeowner's Max Plus.
-An Energy Star-rated version of the Discus, The Discus ES (ES= Energy Star), is now available.
-The Designer's Choice/Designer's Choice II is renamed The Designer Max/Designer Max II, with a redesign.
-The Designer's Choice III is discontinued.
-The Centro/Centro II is renamed The Centro Max/Centro Max II, with a redesign.
-The Light Cast is renamed The Light Cast Max, with a redesign.

Westinghouse:

-New model: The Brentford.
-A fan with an LED light kit is now available: The Techno.
-Westinghouse now has a DC motor fan: The Delancey.
-The Brushed Nickel finish is now available for The Contempra V and The Petite.
-The Industrial is slightly restyled.

-New Hampton Bay model: The Tucson.
-A 44" version of The White Home Decorator's Collection Windward is now available as a pull chain-controlled model.
-New Home Decorator's Collection model: The Merwry.
-New Home Decorator's Collection model: The Costner.
-New Hampton Bay model: The Northshore.
-New Hampton Bay model: The Tipton II.
-The Hampton Bay Waterton II is back, also now offered in Bronze.

-The Hampton Bay Windward II is only available in a single finish: Brushed Nickel.
-New finish for the Hampton Bay Costa Mesa: Bronze.

-The Hampton Bay Reagan II is now The Home Decorator's Collection Reagan II LED.
-New Home Decorator's Collection model: The Abercorn.

And Lowe's/Harbor Breeze (the Allen and Roth brand has no new models for 2015):

-The Old 42" Hoo Cheung-Made Armitage is finally discontinued.
-New models: The Caratuk River, The Builder's Series (2 fans in 1 box), The Windrise, The Aniva Bay, The Lac Arpin, The Lake Lagoda (Harbor Breeze's own Hampton Bay 60" Altura), The Poet's Cove, The Trestle Ridge.
-The Old Calera is back as the Cape Coast.

This is an interesting update, thanks for posting.

Casablanca is a mess. Hunter is a mess. Home Depot isn't fairing to well in my mind either. The Oakhurst is probably one of the most abomination-of-a-fan out there, it moves about 2,000 CFM and just over 100 RPM on high. I figured they were going to drop the Landmark sooner or later, which is a shame since that's pretty much the only fan they put out that I actually liked. Lowes has some interesting ones I'll have to look at, and I say interesting as more of a curiosity, not something I'd actually want.

Yeah, the only decent fan Hunter has left is Original (let's hope 2015 Originals would be as good if not better than current Originals). And Casablanca seems to be getting rid of XLP, but I still see few models that uses XLP.

Oh good! That was the one I liked. I guess I read it too fast and skipped over the finishes. I hope they keep this one going for a few years still, its pretty much the only traditional brass fan left.

Realistically speaking, lets face it: Hunter is not going to be getting any better. They've been on a steady downfall for a few years now, and nothing is showing any reversal of this trend. Its possible that the motor used in the Original will stay the same as what it was last year, but in my mind there's no chance they'll put something better in it. Its all about cheapening it up as much as possible.

Casablanca has been ridding of the XLP for a while now unfortunately, most of their core traditional models such as the Panama now use just spinner motors. Some of their more modern styled fans still utilize the stack motors, but its just a matter of time before those go south as well.

That's what I said, still a few models with XLP.

The hunter company as a whole is a mess, montecarlo is a mess; the only 2 decent companies out there now are Fanimation (#1) and Emerson (#2). That's it.     a lot of newer fane make me

I was never into MonteCarlo much myself, but Hunter and Casablanca are a real disappointment for sure. I don't see Fanimation going anywhere soon because of the people working there, but Emerson may have to drop their quality just to stay competitive in the market.

Fanimation Big Island is not just the DC Islander renamed. It has a much larger, more powerful DC motor in it and moves a legitimate 11,000+ CFM with the proper blade set. Supposedly the original has been reset to the old motor design. As to what that exactly entails is beyond me.

Its listed at just over 10,000 CFM, which is pretty good for 60". Compared to a 68" Hampton Bay Altura moving 8435 CFM. I'm still not sold on DC motors though.

Undoubtedly it will be gone completely sooner or later, but I think there are still a few models left that use it.

All the Instagram stuff remember? Also the undeniable fact that it uses more than 100 watts on almost every fan that uses the K55XL. And I will be going to Dallas Lighting market soon today.
