Some of you probably know that I've been wanting a Casablanca Ventura pull chain 107 cm in polished brass for quite a few years now. This fan in this finish was still made when I started to want one around 2007. I believe all polished brass Venturas were discontinued in 2009 or 2010 at latest. By late 2012 or so the whole Ventura line or so discontinued. Theses are just approximate dates from what I can remember. Someone might have the exact discontinued dates.
I finally been able to acquire one and NIB two weeks ago. It's a pretty old new stock for having never been installed. The date code of fabrication takes us back to May 2000. Coincidentally it's the same age and version as the 2000 matte black 3-speed one I got exactly two years ago. I even had to add (brass) in the title so that this thread is not confused with the black one from November 2012. I also acquired them almost at the same time of the year. Here was the thread from November 2012 of the black one:

It's made pretty much exactly like a more recent Ventura II but with a detailed tag and an older version of the owner manual with the green glossy cover and the Delta II image. The pull chains also starts with low speed first but this is something they might have kept the same way into the last Venturas of the early 2010's. Late 2000's Casablanca 4-speed pull chain starts with high first though.
The blade finish is Sawala with the well pointed blade tips. It's a mysterious blade finish we've rarely seen. It's looks very much like a golden oak or medium oak finish which suits me perfectly. I thought it was meant to be an exotic african wood. I had choice between this or Walnut. I didn't wanted something too dark but medium tone. Sawala is a little darker in person than on picture which is perfect. I was afraid it would have been too pale to match brass. It's a very matte finish.
It works very well except for the bearings that are a little stiff from have never been run in fourteen years.
Here's the video. I show closeups of the tag, the blade finish and the boxes. Available in 720p. Enjoy!
