Nice fan! I would like to find a Ventura one day. The three Casas I have are a 2011 Panama II IT3, a 1988 Panama 5 IT, and a 1999 Stealth IT. The place where I bought it from still have quite a few NIB Casablanca from the early to mid 2000's. Wow, Canada is so behind the times!

Great find as always Jean, I absolutely love it! The Sawala blades against the polished brass are a surprisingly good combination. Would you considering showing the fan with all five blades?

I do not intend to try it with all the five blades. I prefer most of plain and classic Casablanca with four blades. I love how it makes it look like even more like a 1980's chunky GE vent.

Very Nice Fans you have there. I hope that you enjoy it. Thanks. Yes, I'm very satisfied with it, it looks so cute. I recently reversed it for the colder months and it spins significantly slower on reverse.

I recently reversed the Panama because of this horrible cold weather, however it spins the same speed on forwards and reverse. I don't think any of my other fans go at different speeds when the direction is changed either.

My Panama also goes the same speeds on reverse but not the two Venturas I have.

I knew some did that, but I thought it was a rare instance. Is that done deliberately in the design of the motor or is a function of error?

Apparently it's done on purpose because anyway in the winter we don't need much draft and the point of using a fan on reverse it's just to move the air around. Jon W has made a whole thread about that and the dangers of using a fan on high reverse. The possible dangers only applies to J-hook mounted fans. Double claw and ball & socket fans with a pin in the mounting are not concerned.

Double claw and ball & socket fans with a pin in the mounting are not concerned. That makes sense. I've seen the thread, I rarely run my fans beyond low reverse only because if its warm enough to want it on faster you might as well reverse it.

My uncle has one of those in his living room, and I have noticed this. It also moves very little air on reverse for the same reason. ...you sourced a Johna Musto video???
