What do you have currently installed? Nothing vintage, sadly. My parents are quite particular about finishes, so anything polished brass is a no-go The best fan currently installed in the house would be the 44" Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus in my bedroom. I do plan to do a whole bunch of cool installs in Summer though, once I acquire some brushed nickel stack-motor Casablancas and ideally a Hunter Original...

Here's the latest everybody. My timing in contacting the seller was...interesting. The fan is still available, however I was also a bit late as they won't be in the area again until July. I asked them about potential shipping options, however we agreed that waiting until Summer would the easiest. Though I won't have the fan for my Birthday (like my Casablanca Victorian), I'm still looking forward to it.
My mother also has a problem with polished brass, it took me years upon years to get the PB Panama for the bedroom. That sucks. With me, I've accepted that polished brass isn't allowed for fans. What I don't understand is what they have no problem at all with our polished brass door hardware. You'd think that if they didn't like the finish for lighting and fans, they'd go all the way.

I feel you guys's pain! The only finish my mother seems to like for anything non-ornate is brushed steel ;(

The only finish my mother seems to like for anything non-ornate is brushed steel ;( I don't have a problem with brushed nickel, steel or pewter, it's just baffling how she places so much importance on ensuring there are no polished brass ceiling fans or light fixtures installed anywhere. Yet, polished brass door hardware it isn't a problem. Can anybody see the logic here? I certainly can't...

I can't see the logic in it either. Why? Simple. It is IRRATIONAL!

I can't see the logic in it either. Why? Simple. It is IRRATIONAL! I've dealt with a lot of people who are irrational (I work in customer service). Its something I'm quite used to by now.

I know. Hey, at least I'm allowed to install new fans though This is also something my mother is not too fond of and takes a long time to actually happen. Over the past 6 years, I installed 3 fans in this fan-less house. The third being installed just a few months ago...

Its even more pathetic when you consider that two of the fans are a Hunter Waldon and a Hampton Bay Brookhurst! I'll get by own place soon enough, at which point the fans will go up much faster.
