This happens. It's a freakin' pewter Victorian, only the second whole Casablanca I've found there. It's more than complete with two downrods, all the glass, mounting, etc. SQ appears to be functional, I'm hoping it is but of course can't know for sure until I test it. They also had an ancient Nutone hugger which I may go back for, but this took priority for sure.

Sweet fan! Surprised it didn't include the manuals. What's the serial #? Are they 17" blades?

Manuals would've been too much lol. I think manuals that do show up with used fans get thrown out at my Habitat, I haven't seen any manuals that weren't in a NIB fan. 21" blades, May 4, 1981 if that's what you're driving at.

The blades looked a bit short, that's why I thought they were 17" blades. Which number fan was this fan for the day it was made?

Here are the installed pics. It is so beautiful, I really need to find a place for this one. I also determined that one globe looks like an imitation replacement, so it's not technically complete, but I can deal lol.

Just curious. It looks great, but why do you always use that little piece above the HangTru?

Just curious. It looks great, but why do you always use that little piece above the HangTru? I've explained this before. Hang-Tru is a pain in the ass to put on a bare box (ie not surrounded by sheetrock) because it will never get tight until the canopy has gone up so far that the ball will no longer slip in. The trim ring eliminates this issue because the Hang-Tru will snug up against it with no issue.

LOL, that's so true. I had the same problem with my second Panama I got this past summer mounting it in my basement on a bare box. I try to install all of my fans myself but my dad had to help me on that one. Where can I get one of those trim rings?

I don't think you can get them anymore. It was an accessory they offered in the 80's to act like a ceiling medallion if there was drywall damage. I have two, one came with my first PB Four Seasons and the other with my New Orleans, just got lucky on finding them.

What do you suggest for making Casablanca fan installations easier on bare metal boxes if those trim rings aren't available anymore?

Don't mount Hang-Tru on bare metal boxes. In all seriousness though, IDK, put some shims between the top of the canopy and the edge of the box? Not a lot you can do.

Ah, okay. I could try using an LCA or even an SCA.

Install the hang-tru canopy loose, hang fan, then proceed to tighten the canopy screws until everything is ideal.
