Amazing find indeed! I didn't know that they made it in that finish.

Why do you mean hang it loose? Idk what you mean... Don't tighten the screws of the Hang-Tru all the way, slip the ball in, then proceed to tighten the canopy screws until they are tight. It does work, I've done it a few times.

Love it, Cole! Very cool finish indeed - you don't see Pewter Victorians all that often...

I did not know Casablanca offered pewter in the 1980s. It's a finish that got more popular by the late 1990s. It's not just a discolored antique brass?

Just curious. It looks great, but why do you always use that little piece above the HangTru? I've explained this before. Hang-Tru is a pain in the ass to put on a bare box (ie not surrounded by sheetrock) because it will never get tight until the canopy has gone up so far that the ball will no longer slip in. The trim ring eliminates this issue because the Hang-Tru will snug up against it with no issue. I never thought about this possible issue with Hang-Trus but now that you point it out, it makes sens. On a regular ceiling it seems sooo easy to install. Directly on a wood beam it depends, usually it will be as easy as on a regular ceiling but sometimes the four long screws for the canopy can arrive in the beam or almost in it which will be a big issue. If the crossbar is well placed, it will not happen and the long screws will be able to go beyond the crossbar without touching the side of the beam.

Yeah I wish I had one of them. I have to use 2x4s to space the canopies properly on my test site.

I really don't think it's possible to have discolored that much because I would think the blades would have too, but they look brand new other than some scratches. They did offer pewter, I know that much because I've seen it on Zephyrs, there was just recently one on Portland CL but it's gone now.

Pretty sure they offered it. It might be nickel.

Yes it certainly could be, it actually looks more like a form of nickel than pewter but I don't know what they specifically called it.
