progress report: Motor packaging Motor Motor info: wire into medium speed (Blue wire) Motor installed The threads on the motor are a bit short.. had to not include the 4 washers that cover the rubber pieces.. And still the nuts only turn a few turns.. Also had to run to Home Depot to buy smaller sized nuts. Here's a Youtube video of it in motion and also the old paint removed.. The paint thinner also took some of the finish off the old plastic leaving my finger print engraved on the spinning part of the switch housing..

That thing sounds like an A/C unit when starting up and while in motion IMO

I would add a 3 speed switch so I could try all 3 settings.

On a side note, I really wish I could find a FD someday. Not for use everyday, but just for looks and coolness.

Thanks Jeremy,
Well we all know high speed is useless. It over heats.
Medium speed seems to be the one to use.
Low speed, I have not tried yet. It will more than likely either have enough juice to move the fan at the same rpm or a tad bit slower or may not be able to turn the blades..
