Wow that's nice. I like the Mushroom lights because it's just a change from the schoolhouse light.

Good point, Dan. My litex fans had the mushroom lights, too.

Mushroom globes use to be my favorites kind of globes, but now I prefer Schoolhouse globes. I agree that they looks good on 38'' Casablanca Four Season. They also looks really nice on SMC Lagunas, especially on later ones. Actually the last Laguna that have been made (1994-1999) was 36'', all white with 4 stencil blades and included a Mushroom light kit. I was really cute. I ALMOST got one of these. The fan was exactly like the one in the link below with with a mushroom globe. www.vintageceilingfans.com/smclagunaceilingfanmodelkb36late1980s.htmlThe SMC Promo 42'' and SMC Royal Flush Plus 42'' also included a mushroom light kit. My Encon Princess use to have a mushroom globe(original globe) but it broke so I replace it with a round globe. (like you have seen in my pictures) i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/EnconPrincessCraftmadeDecorativeNIB.jpgUsually mushroom looks better on smaller fans. I would not imagine it on a 52'' fan.

That's true. I seen a pic of a 52 inch fan having a mushroom light on it on one of the vintageceilingfans group in the unknown section. I think sometimes it works better instead of having schoolhouse light.

My uncle's old apartment had a 52" white Hampton Bay Chatham in their bedroom. It had a huge clear globe with a green bulb. It looked hideous. When he moved to his new house, I cleaned all of his fans that were caked in dust. I swapped out the mushroom globe from his Grayton to his PB hugger, and the schoolhouse globe from the hugger to the Grayton. I liked the hugger with the mushroom globe better. That's one thing I forgot. I like smaller bare spinners with a small light. Some just don't look right without them. Oh, btw, I hate the built-in "modern" style fans. Like these:

If it's a bigger one that appears on an older fan it's okay looking. Most mushroom lights, however, appear on cheap fans, so it's hard not to associate a mushroom light with a cheap fan.

Like these: I also dislike that fan on the picture too. It looks terrible. Mushroom globes are better in my opninon, it gives the fan a good look and a switch from the school house light.

I like round globes on spinners, SMC A52's, Sonnet Air's, and select Originals.
