I've never seen a CEC (Carribean) like that, but it may very well be.

The "newer hunter" is a beacon hill. I've never seen a newer hunter with that southern classic/preference canopy though.

The "newer hunter" is a beacon hill. I've never seen a newer hunter with that southern classic/preference canopy though. I had to replace the canopy as the people that brought it in didn't include the mounting plate. It's a bit different than the usual Hunter plates, unless it's a newer design.

Are you referring to the mounting plate itself or just the canopy? If you're referring to the canopy, it was made for hunter's more contemporary fans in the early to mid 90s. It can be seen with the southern classic, preference, millennium, and a few others.

Nice Beaconhill 42'' but the what happened to the medium oak blade side? It looks like someone tried to sand it. They are usually much more golden than that. Along with the canopy those are not the original shades the Beaconhill use. The Summer Breeze Plus and the Coastal breeze use those shades.
Nice Coastal Breeze but I prefer the 44'' ones.
I like the PB 4 blades GE vents.
You get so many of those generic looking hugger.

Beacon Hill was missing the mounting plate, and the canopy didn't fit the mounting plate that I had. Therefore, I had to use the plate and canopy I had available.
It came with one shade, this greenish-blue thing. The other two had apparently broken - I know for a fact that at least one did, as there was still a piece of broken glass in the light kit.
The oak side looks lighter because of the flash, although I think the veneer they used is a bit lighter than "medium oak". When I took the picture without the flash and the light on, it looked almost the same as the rosewood. In any case, both sides of the blades have their original veneers.
I only have two huggers in stock right now, and being that I didn't go in today, one or both of them may be gone by now.

July 24: 18 in stock. I had to do moderate to extensive work on all three new ones to get them in working order. In addition to these above, a bright brass GE vent motor came in that was VERY similar to the Emerson currently available, although not labeled as such. However, it did not work, even after I tried changing out the capacitor. When I got it in, it did not have the original blades, but some off an antique brass Bahama hugger. There was also either black balloon ribbon or cassette tape wound around the motor shaft, sticky-tack all over the switch housing and light kit (which itself was banged-up), and other signs that this fan had fallen victim to a few too many child's birthday parties (hung in a conference or retreat center, perhaps?) Heck, the motor probably burned out due to having the fan on with streamers and crap hanging off the blades. 52" 4B black antique Peerless - $200 42" 4B AB cane hugger, 1L - $20 52" 4B AW/AB Thomas; dark wood blades - $45 52" 4B AW/AB Thomas; antique white blades - $40 52" 4B BB mid-80s Hunter Comfort Breeze - $25 48" NIB 3B W 1979 Fanco industrial - $40 $30 52" 4B BB 1980s Emerson GE vent - $25 52" 5B W Hunter Silent Breeze - $40 52" 5B BB Hunter Infiniti, 4L - $50 (2) 52" 4B antique GE - $75 each 52" 5B BB Litex FPV builder, white blades, 4L - $40 52" 4B BB cane hugger, 4L - $30 44" 5B BB Hunter Beacon Hill, 3L - $35 52" 4B BB Hunter BB Coastal Breeze - $40 52" 4B BB GE vent, 4L - $20 SOLDNEW:42" 5B W/B Craftmade, 4L - $30 52" 5B BB Craftmade, 4L, gloss white blades - $35 52" 4B AB Tyeb variable speed - $35 52" Craftmade. Blades, brackets, and light shades are replacements. 15 minutes later I found the original 4 blades in the dumpster with weights, sheetrock, and something that looked like Mighty Putty on the backs on them, so I left them as I figured they weren't worth saving. Original shades were enormous beveled glass things which I obviously didn't have a 4th of. 42" Craftmade. This one had a fried medium/low capacitor and a very shoddy repair attempt - someone just changed the wires around on the pullchain and taped it all together with electrical tape. As I didn't have the exact replacement, I put in some new capacitors to create a satisfactory medium and a low. Fan now goes roughly 180/110/70. 52" 1st generation Tyeb. I had to convert it from bell canopy to ball/socket as the original downrod was gone and I didn't have the equipment to keep it bell canopy. I also added the knob to the variable speed control; if I find a smaller one (and/or one that isn't white) before it sells, I'll change it out.

Hey! That's my fan! (the 42'' Craftmade Decorative) That light kit is WAY too big for it. This is an older one right? The vents seems much smaller than mine. Can it take both 4/5 blades? At least can the 52'' one can? Did you found any date on them? The manual of mine says: 55/120/200. To me it seems more like: 55/110/180. A little bit like you said but mine really goes at 55RPM on low like it says in the manual. See they really have a slow meduim speed. It because they have 14 pitch blades on a 153mm motor.

Big knob doesnt look bad, but it would be better if it was darker.

In regards to keeping a fan bell canopy with the j-hook Envirofan sells j-hook mounting hardware. I got the necessary pieces for my Moss spinner that was missing the j-hook. I got a rubber grommet wheel and hook. They should fit to the downrod though I haven't actually tried it yet, as the fan is at my parents' house in MD and the parts are down with me in NC. Anyway, this is just FYI in case anyone has a bell canopy fan that was wondering where they could get some parts for the j-hook if they were having trouble finding any.

You can make your own too, with hardware store parts.
But I love Envirofan. How much did they charge you?
