I loved Mr. Rogers when I was little, it was my favorite show. I seem to remember some ceiling fans from time to time on Sesame Street. Anyone else seen them? Where were they? What were they? I'd love to know. As for the ceiling fans featured on Sesame Street, There was one mounted right above Big Bird's nest. It looked an awful lot like a Hunter Original. Then on one ep, Oscar supposedly had a ceiling fan that looked similar to an SMC Laguna...and he operated it using pulleys, and called it his "Grouch fan." Those eps aired sometime in the 80s. P.S. Those were the "better days" of Sesame Street

I remember something like a Laguna in Sesame Street, now that you mentioned it. Yes Sesame Street was much better back in the 80's and 90's. They changed the open, and closings, and added alot of stuff they show everyday, like Elmo's World Etc. Sesame Street is definitely no where near the same. I wonder if there were ever any ceiling fans in 3-2-1 Contact, Reading Rainbow, And that electric show, I forgot the name of, I think that's the one that had that pac-man game in every EP.

I remember a fan over big bird's nest! Seeing as when I was young I imagined fans everywhere, I thought that fan must have been my imagination as well . . . but I guess it was there. I'd love to see that episode again. I also remember some sort of restaurant, some sort of Muppet spoof on Casablanca. Of course that had a fan.

Square one? I remember that show. There was one part called "Mathnet", a spoof on Dragnet, that had some Hunter Originals. I used to love that show Growing up without cable and with an over-controlling mother, I saw a lot of PBS. Lol.

Back in the day when things were better and of course ceiling fans....Adam I really have to get nostalgic for the 80s, even though I was so young at the time. A lot of things sucked, like the clothes and the music (Prince and Mike (and, to a lesser degree, Roger Troutman) were really the only good music to come out of the 80s) but the FANS . . . I swear, the absolute best period of fans was the 80s. This was because 1978 Casablanca brought ceiling fans back into style, they because popular again and tons of little American made companies sprang up with unique and cool fans 1981 The import market saw the huge money to be made with ceiling fans and swamped the market. This meant that both the American and overseas companies had to compete, and so tons of unique control systems, mount stytems etc were designed so that one fan would have an edge over the other. In the end, the import market put the American companies out of business and soon all the fans started to be more or less the same, i.e. crap. But for a while there you ahd fans that to the untrained eye all looked remarkably similar (i.e. all standard in design, no gawdawful pal leaf blades or moulded plaster-in-the-shape-of-a-fish motor housings) but to the ceiling fan afficienda had all sorts of unusual and appealing differeces. Different was to mount the blades, different motors, different vent holes, different canopies and mounts . . . I said this in another thread and I'll say it again, what I wouldnt give to go back to a Menards ceiling fan display of the mid 80s.

There are also three emerson 1895 series 52'' fans painted over green on the 80th floor of the Empire State Building. they may not be famous, but they're there.

But still, if they're going to have fans, Emerson 1895s is a good choice. Why are they green? Are they in an atrium?

I wouldn't say only three fans, they're could be 500 taras there for all I know. They're were actually 2 fans I saw, one was missing. The reason the fans were painted over green is because they were painted with the hallway leading to the gift shop and the observation deck.

Hey, I can vividly recall seeing those Emersons in the Empire State Building, and yes, I do remember them being green. I've been up in that building like 3 times, and those fans were like one of my favorite parts of the building.

By the way, I forgot to mention that I took a snapshot of one of those famous Emersons in the Empire State Building. It was my first time there on my 8th grade field trip in 1997. Being the fan enthusiast that I am, I just had to take its picture. I have the pic somewhere, but I don't think it turned out that good.

Photos can always be touched up to improve the quality.
