Never sold anything on Craigslist either. Craigslist is extremely easy to use.. and it's free. It's also pretty much hassle-free, unlike Ebay.

You have a Grayton I, right? Those aren't as bad as the Grayton IIs; I mean, they aren't quality fans, but it isn't something I would trash. I'm not sure why destroying things is fun... Rick, I don't have a Grayton (I) but I do have a Grayton (II). Ah, okay. Yeah, selling it on Craigslist wouldn't be a bad idea; I agree with everyone that it is one of the simplist ways to sell something.

Yeah I heard that you have to pay to sell on ebay but at least you don't have to pay to buy.

Yeah I heard that you have to pay to sell on ebay but at least you don't have to pay to buy. And boy, do you have to pay... Insertion fee., Listing Picture fee., Gallery Picture fee., Total Value Fee (sales percentage)., Extended Auction listing fee if you choose to have a 10-day auction which is actually a 9-day auction., a Buy It Now fee., Best Offer fee., PayPal Seller fees. I'm pretty sure there are other fees involve to rip you off good. That's why I don't sell on eBay. If I did, I would be working for them instead of me. Like Andrew said, Craigslist is the best bet for you.

Dealing outside of one's region is up to the seller and the seller alone.

One time a seller was nice enough to ship something to me he had for sale on Craigslist. There you go, why can't you as well? You don't ship the fan till you get payment, it's simple as that. If you don't get payment, you simply assume it was a scam or fraud, don't ship the fan, and relist it to try again. There's really no way for you to lose when you're in that position.

I Agree with Cole. The Honesty part is with you the seller. You get to ship the fan after you get paid. No payment, you move on. I suggest you list it in a few regional Craigslist so you get more traffic and a bigger chance to sell it much quicker.

Kind of concerns me since my rental property has the Grayton I in the master bedroom. Think we should take it down and put something in its place?
