Finally got around to wiring my LED light pods on my back rack, they are insanely bright. They'll be useful for loading stuff at night and warding off high-beamers coming up behind me.

I know the new F-150's offer lights up top and in the bed as well, but not until the new ones came out in 2015... I like the install!!!

Yeah what you're referring to are called "cargo lights" they've been around for decades. I have an aftermarket LED cargo light with built in center high mount stop lamp.

My aunt just traded in that Volvo V50, because it was starting to have mechanical issues, plus the clear coat had gone bad from the sun. She got a new Subaru wagon of some kind, but I don't know the model. She was going to get another Volvo, but a new Subaru was cheaper than a used Volvo... Let us know in the future how that turns out.. We considered a Subaru Forester but everyone I know who had a recent one said there CVT transmissions gave tons of problems. Not to mention I hate CVT's.

Well I'm currently looking for a new used car. Mostly something in the mid size category. I've seen a few Fusions and Taurus. I like the Sonata and Optima too. But the issue I'm having is most of the used cars the dealers have seem to have a lot more miles than I'd like. Plus many of them are base trim level and I'm wanting more of a mid-range to high trim level.
Haven't even been to the dealerships much, I'm just looking at inventory online.
I decided I don't want a truck. I can get a way nicer car for the price. Plus I can't find any trucks around here I like enough. I'd love a 2011-2013 Silverado LTZ crew cab or Sierra SLT crew cab. But they are few and far between and I'd have to go about 75 miles to find one.

When we got my mom's last car. we went to a dealer further away to buy it, and got what she wanted (color, features, trim, etc.) because no one up here had exactly what she was looking for. I'd recommend going for a Malibu if you're looking for a midsize car, as they're very safe and reliable. At the Chevy dealer I work for, a pre-owned 2017 Malibu LT goes for around $16k, and for that price you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, keyless access, push-button start, and a large 8 inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth. That's an awesome deal.

It's a big purchase you'll be living with for years on a daily basis.. Make it what you really want..

I refuse to get a Malibu and a lot of GM vehicles because you can't shut off that STUPID stop/start system. Thats why we ended up with a new Hyundai Elantra instead of a Cruze for my wife. My two rules were NO CVT and NO Stop Start that isn't optional to turn off.

It sounds about what you're talking about as far as what it had on it. They wanted $22k for it though and said a new LT is $29k which sounded quite high to me. I did like the color of it a lot and it was a nice looking car. I just felt like it should be cheaper than it was. And my current car is a Malibu actually too. I refuse to get a Malibu and a lot of GM vehicles because you can't shut off that STUPID stop/start system. Thats why we ended up with a new Hyundai Elantra instead of a Cruze for my wife. Because I thought they've had that for a long time now, I know some Chevys did in 2007.

But I would probably like Bluetooth if I need to make a phone call. Plus I would probably use navigation if I had it. I think it would probably be a lot easier to use than my phone for that, when driving. Also my current car CD player is broken so all I have is AM/FM. But if I was driving on a trip, I'd probably like an input jack to play Pandora from my phone in the car, or a USB stick. But I doubt there are any newer cars these days that don't at least have that feature.

Bluetooth Audio lets you stream music off your phone. I think the newer Malibus are nice, and safe as well. Yhe little 1.5T turbo has about 170 HP and gives you good MPG on the highway. Comfortable too.

No Stop/Start is when you stop the car shuts off the engine until you take your foot off the brake to restart it. So anytime you're at a stop sign your car is off the other features like A/C stay on. This requires in many of these cars a second battery that is expensive.
