I respect Manual people they always stick too it. Thats what I always think to myself stick drivers, Subaru, Tacoma, Jeep people, and Harley riders always always always stick with that.

I bought a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Sedan for a thousand bucks, floors and frame are in really good shape. Needs work pretty much everywhere else though. My little Ford Ranger did pretty well considering this behemoth weighs 4000lbs + 400lbs for the tow dolly.

I've been thinking about getting a new vehicle since my Jeep is beginning to enter OVR, or Old Vehicle Syndrome... it's gonna be hard to get a car loan since I only work part-time and don't have any existing credit (I'm working on it, believe me)... my ideal vehicle would be a 2016 Jeep Renegade Latitude 4X4, because I want something a bit smaller that gets better gas mileage, but still want a Jeep... that probably won't likely happen for awhile as I need to at least get a second part-time job so that I can prove I have the income for a loan (my parents will ONLY help me then).

Yeah, finance a brand new car with a part time job. Great idea. Your jeep isn't even 15 years old.. "old" lmao. I daily drove a 25 year old car for months before I decided I didnt wanna drive it in the winter and sold it.

Bought a 2012 Chevy Silverado on Labor Day to celebrate the giant pay raise I got for taking over lawn maintenance at the apartment complex I work at, pulling close to 4 Gs now. I still own my Jeep but I'm storing it at Marce's house, he's going to use it and do the maintenance

They never made a 6L on the 1500, only on the 2500 and 3500... these have 5.3L Vortec V8's.

It's beginning to rust, the driver's door panel is cracked and won't stay secured (it still stays on but is sorta loose), the driver's side view mirror is loose where you fold it in so it flops around when you open and close the driver's door, the 'Check Engine' light is on for a problem I know I've fixed before, and the rear left window is being held up by packaging tape since the part that holds it up mysteriously broke. My parents have been suggesting I get rid of it and get something else, but we'll see.

I'd bet a wooden nickel that it does have the 5.3 from the looks of the configuration and how most Silverados have them as the prized engine. Zach, beautiful truck. I looked at these alot but I decided I only needed a midsizer and went with the Tacoma. If I ever went full size I'd be driving right to a Chevy dealership to start bargain hunting

Nice truck! That's my favorite body style of them too and I like that color. My friend has one in that color, but theirs is the crew cab and has the black interior. They've had theirs since 2008 and as far as I know it's still running good. I like your interior color better than the black though.

The 4.3 is a joke and the 4.8 is a watered down 5.3

The parking brake also doesn't work anymore. By the time I buy all the parts and fix everything (my compete brake system needs replaced as well), I could buy another vehicle.

The 4.3 is a joke and the 4.8 is a watered down 5.3 Yes, they *did* make a 1500HD from 2001 until about 2005 or so, with the GMT800 (1999-2006) trucks, but NOT with the GMT900 (2007-2013) trucks, which NEVER offered a 6.0. The 5.3 is GM's most popular engine by far. They also had an 8.1 Big Block engine at one time, but it didn't stick around long. The 2006 Chevy Avalanche 2500 was the last truck to use that engine, I believe.
