Here are the cars my family and I currently own:
My Car: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (WJ) (Base model, no factory packages or options), 4.0L I6, 4AT, 4X4. Has just about 138k miles. Mom's Car: 2006 BMW 525xiA Sedan (E60) (Factory Premium and Cold Weather Packages), 3.0L I6, 6AT, AWD. Has over 160k miles. Dad's Car: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (WK) (Pretty much all factory packages and options), 4.7L V8, 5AT, 4X4. Has over 215k miles.
I had a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (ZJ) (5.2L V8, 4AT, and 4X4, most of the factory options, but base package) that I used to have that had just over 177k miles, but she needed a new computer so I got rid of her and got something more economical (my "new" Jeep, the 2002 Grand Cherokee).

My cars: 2015 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off Road and my first truck: 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Regular Cab. I love Tacomas, I would have bought one if they werent so expensive compared to a Ranger.

I love it!
I was torn between the Colorado and the Tacoma. The 2016 Tacoma, I didn't like as it was too car like and I did not trust that new engine.
If the Ranger was still in production that may have been on my list as I like a true compact truck (aka my S-10). The price on Tacomas are ridiculous especially used. Mine had 7,000 miles on it but i saved $4,000 compared to if it was new. A gentleman in the Airforce sold it to the dealer I bought it from when he learned he would be getting deployed after owning it for 7 months.
Then I have a friend who last summer bought a 2011 extended cab with the sport package with 71,000 miles on it for more than I bought mine which was fully loaded (minus the leather and chrome wheels that come on the limited).
Needless to say anyone on this forum RESEARCH before buying a car/fan hauler!

I looked at a 2013 Tacoma Access Cab V6 4x4 automatic and they wanted 33,000 bucks with 30k on the odometer. I paid 13,500 for my 2011 Ranger Sport 2wd with power doors and it had 60k on it.

Thats the nice thing about Ford and Chevy smaller trucks, very reliable but they depreciate to make them affordable to buy used.
Whats nuts is my dad has a 2012 Access Cab V6 4x4 and paid less for it brand new with no trade in.
Shame that alot of the members on here are younger or have only bought one car.. I'm sure some people on here can cringe at beginning to tell some of the horrendous dealer stories out there!

A relative has a Tacoma.. Its a good truck,, he's had it for quite some time and it hasn't really provided any problems.. I'd want manual so I never really considered getting one,, I could be misinformed but it appears to me that only the 2016 ones are offered in manual and I don't want something that new..

Most you can get a manual in. My Dad has the 2012 and a 2003 and they both were available as Manuals but because of my Mom he got Automatics for when she borrows them.
If I could learn how to drive a manual i would, but NO one I know has a stick car. And with my two trucks I have no need for a third vehicle and my fiance just got a newer car and sold one of the two she had and is looking to sell her other.
I'd like in a couple years to sell her present car and get a Toyota 4 runner.
