lol the majority of my collection is in storage in my parents house. I have 10 fans installed there, 4 in my apartment, 11 in my church.

Wow! that is a long time. I've always HAD fans in the house, since I was about 4 or so, but never really became interested to the point of collecting fans from that era till now and really, that was all brought on by my search for the Envirofans that they used to have in that fruit and vegetable market by my old house. For years I always wanted to ask if they'd sell them but I never did and now I see that they renovated (somewhere in the past 10 years) and the fans are gone. Just outta curiosity, whats the history behind the two I'm getting from you?

One I bought from another collector on these forums. It turned out not to work when I got it because of the bad cap. This collector had been known for doing bad deals.
The other I bought on eBay, where I also bought the NIB ones.

Ahh yes, the NIB ones, I believe u mentioned them before. Now those were the same as the white ones you got from that pharmacy you said, yeah? Without the switch housing?

There's also an industrial version of this fan with three curved metal blades. I dont have a pic.

Ok thats right, I remember hearing about the 3 blade version that I think was mentioned in that article from that 1982 movie theatre industry magazine that I showed you. I remember they mentioned something about a 3 blade version. Either way, it'd be cool the see pics of the different versions, particularly the boxes. I remember one of the NIB ones u said was Decorafan. I was surprised to see that on the inside of the blade arms of the Banvil Emperor I have, it says "Decorafan"... its cool because the previous owners gave me all the original instruction guides and paperwork that came with it!

I've been told Sean Brown has a picture of the 3 blade version, maybe someone can provide a link. I'll provide pictures of the boxes when I get a chance. Jean (I think) already posted pictures of the 36" version.
I take it Banvil called all their residential fans Decorafan at one time.

I found the pic myself, I wish it was better quality. It's mislabeled as a Gold Line, I suspect it's actually an early silver or bronze line. Gold Lines have always had the pointy motor.

Get out! that just made my day! lol. It actually looks really nice in brown. I wonder how long it was till they came out with the version with the switch housing. But yeah, it kinda sounds like at one point Banvil's residental line was called Decorafan. I remember you said one was labeled "Decorafan" and one was labeled "The Chateau"?

Cool fans!
Its Ben you post pics of the brown 36'' version.
I never saw that Industrial before. I actually never saw any of theses Banvils around here.
The fan on the Enviro Fan Systems pic looks like a Banana fan.

Hell I dont remember. The box might have said both. I'll look, it's in storage.
The versions with the switch housing might be later, or they might have been offered at the same time for a little more money.
