Here are the Janurary sightings. They were all taken in France except for the last picture. In Arras, Pas-de-Calais: A clothing store has this cool install of a trio of Vortice Nordik Design 1S. One 140 cm on each side and a 90 cm one in the middle. The smaller one appears to be newer than the larger ones. A bar has this 1980's polished brass Air Deco 132 cm with cane blades. Thanks to my zoom for this picture as it was taken from outside and the fan is totally at the back of the bar. Moving on to Paris, IDF. A classic 1950's brasserie in the 16th has these two awesome Marellis 140 cm in chrome. This model is very different from most of other Marellis. The design around the motor echos Elge fans from the same period. The housing is stationary. It's probably Marelli's only stationary housing model. I only recently found out that these are Marellis. I remember some were wondering the brand of them. Unfortunately the upper canopy was cut and one has a bent blade. Fan no: 1 Fan no: 2 A nice Inspire Dailan 120 cm in a italian restaurant in the Marais. They were three and two of them with the blades upside down like on this one. A Subway restaurant has this Regency MX Excel in antique silver. Notice the switch housing. In France it's always a surprise to see if Subways restaurants will have fans in them or not. Only about half of them have fans. In Canada they have have fans unless it's just a counter located inside a shopping mall. An antique brass(?) SMC Spinner 107 cm in a restaurant. The shades are not installed correctly. A second Subway has this antique silver Quorum Capri. This one doesn't have a detachable switch housing. A 3rd Subway has two more antique silver Quorum Capris this time with detachable switch housings. A restaurant in Montmartre has two 1990's Encon Monarch 132 cm. Still in Montmartre a restaurant has this white Encon/Westinghouse Crusader lookalike. Anyone knows what it is? Here it is! One of the Gerbar Duplo Dinâmico fans from the Café des Deux Moulins in Montmartre where some of the scenes of the movie Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001) takes place. Sorry for the bad picture. They are at least two of them in there. This is probably my favorite sighting of all and found by surprise too. A bookstore has four Vortice Nordik Decor 140 cm in Radica and brass finish in very good condition. Those are probably not very old. Mid 2000's to present I would imagine. Another one: A cool burger restaurant has three Vortice Nordik Decor 140 cm. Unfortunately they were painted over in silver. This one is missing the nut. This one upstairs has a bent blade. A clothing store has at least two silver painted Vortice Nordik Design 1S 120 cm. At Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau Montréal airport (120 volts-60 Hz) a Subway restaurant has two of these Regency Professional Series in satin steel. Someone please confirm the brand and model. I know they are definitely not Quorum as they have square tipped blades. Enjoy and comment! Let me know if you want to see more sightings are not.

I love the Duplo Dinamico install and the silver Vortice installs! I didn't know that Regency and Quorum sold 220v versions of their fans. You like the Vortice painted in silver? I didn't knew that either. I don't think those fans are just for show as I saw the Regency on high last summer. This time all fans were off for winter.

Would definitely be interested in seeing more sightings! It is indeed and unfortunately fans from outside the US seems to be put aside a lot. As soon as there's a post about them, they get ignored as if people are not interested in fans they don't know. I ask because these sightings threads are getting less and less popular.

Here are the sightings for February taken in various southern states of India mostly Tamil Nadu. (230 volts - 50 Hz) I will post them by batches as there's quite a lot of them. The first one is probably my favorite one of all. A brown USHA 120 cm with four metal blade and brass badges in Bangalore, Karnataka located in none other than the Bangalore Palace. How better could it start. Can anyone tell me the model name and the exact age of this model. Judging by the canopies I would say it's from the 1990's sold around the same time as the Pulsar model. Various brown Crompton Greaves High Breeze 120 cm from the late 2000's to present around Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Notice the first one doesn't have it's original canopy. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Pondichéry has various recent white Crompton Greaves High Breeze 140 cm. Notice how some fans are mounted angled. In a hotel room another white Crompton Greaves High Breeze 140 cm. Enjoy! Stayed tuned, there's a lot more to come. In the next bath there will be some fans that will need identification.

That church install is awesome! Do you have any more pictures of it? I've never seen a fan installed angled like that.. Yes I have this other one. We can see at the back some older Crompton Greaves High Breeze. They are probably from the late 1970's to early 1980's. There's also a green Almoard pedestal fan on the left and another unknown pedestal fan.

Here's the second batch of the fans from a trip to southern Indian states in February. Some of them needs identification. In an old renovated hotel in Kothamangalam, Tamil Nadu a cool variety of fans. The bedrooms have regular recent white Crompton Greaves High Breezes 140 cm. In some of the common areas are these glossy brown painted Kassel Ball 140 cm fans. They are a more recent copy of the older and famous Crompton Parkinson Ball from the 1930-1940's. Very cool! I would imagine this Kassel version is from the 1970's. Someone knows for sure their age? They were at least two and both missing their lower canopy. They are also these very cool unknown fans that appears to be antiques. Some are painted in silver and others in white. What are they and how old would they be? Their motors is very unique having a shape similar to a vase. In another old building some brown painted GEC Madras from the 1940's. This very cute brown Crompton Greaves High Speed 60 cm from the late 2000's to present. Tais has one exactly like this. I love how thick the motor is. It would look perfect in 75 cm. A shop that sells antique furnitures et art crafts have these two very cool and uncommon fans. First a Polar with four metal blades. Sorry for the bad picture, it was far completely at the back in a corner. Notice the unusual finish combination. Beige, brown with brass accents. It appears to be from the 1990's, maybe late 1980's. The second fan is this very cool and old 140 cm fan. It's from the Crompton family probably from the 1960's. Is this a crompton Greaves or Crompton Parkinson and what model? Crompton Parkinson High Efficiency? Check out the thick motor. In another place a recent brown Crompton Greaves High Breeze 120 cm. Enjoy and comment! There's still a last batch to be posted.

Yes those mini fans have portable fans speeds. They are cool but a little too small for my tastes and very noisy. 75 cm ones would already be better. Orient and Havells have a 75 cm model.
No one knows what are the unknown fans?

Here's the last batch of photos. There's some more that needs to be identified. Unknown recent decorative fan Recent Orient Summer Cool. I love the burgundy colour! This has got to be my second favorite sightings for February after the four blade USHA. A restored white painted GEC Witton from the 1920's with original blades. I love the contour they did on the edges of the blades. Too bad it's missing the upper canopy. It's one of the rare English fans with curved blades. Late 2000's to present Crompton Greaves High Breeze 120 cm in a church. In a hotel in Madurai, Tamil Nadu this restored Veritys Malabar from the 1920's. The bathroom even have a fan, this recent Crompton Greaves High Breeze 90 cm. A hotel in Kumarakom, Kerala has two recent Havells SS-390 140 cm. One inside, one outside. A whole bunch of recent white Crompton Greaves High Breeze 140 cm in a church in the Kerala not hanging from the sides. Another church in the Kerala with unrestored Crompton Parkinson Ball from the 1930-1940's. Notice the other newer fans mounted angled. In St. Francis Church in Kochi, Kerala a few late 1970's early 1980's brown Crompton Greaves High Breeze 140 cm accompanied with two systems of punkah. I hope you liked these pictures from southern India. Please comment.
