Never seen that model or those specific controls before.
Those HB spinners are kinda cool, at least they're something different. I don't half mind those Nadairs but I really don't care for that bracket style. Outdoor install is cute, they really made something work with the space they had available.

It's important to remember that it's not the Harbor Breeze from Lowes. It writes differently from only one letter. Harbo ur and not Harbor. The one that was sold at Consumers Distributing in the 1980s-1990s. I'm surprised that you say this because I remember you said that you like the Casablanca Capistrano which also have shell brackets. I think they look good for soft contemporary ceiling fans. You said that they sold some Nadairs at Menards?

Right, I realize they're not the Lowes ones. I just don't want to write out HB, see I didn't even do it there.
I like the Capistrano and the shell brackets it has, but the style seen here is completely different. It's particularly the model too, I definitely put it in the contemporary-to-modern category with those vents and the brackets don't match that IMO. Menards (mine at least) did have a couple Nadair models a number of years ago, they still sell Nadair lighting. The fans in the display were always separate from the other fans, in with the lights at the total opposite end of the display area.

Lowes are mostely located in Ontario and Alberta. There are no Lowes in Québec yet. Why don't you want to write Harbor Breeze? Hehe! What were the Nadair models that Menard's had? Do you remember what they looked like? I supposed that the last year that they sold any was 2008?

Great pics...I love the Palcos and the Harbor Breeze spinner. The outside install with those two Kendal Air fans is pretty awesome.

We didn't have Lowes or HD here until the earlyish to mid-2000s either, Lowes after HD. Menards and ACE, along with smaller local stores and Mills Fleet Farm, were our main hardware places until HD came.
It's cumbersome to write out HB every time lol!
Unfortunately I don't remember the Nadair models. I think they were all pretty modern, maybe like three models maximum, I think one was chrome and had multicolored blades. They may have been mix-matched models sold exclusively at Menards (perhaps explains why there were only 3 models?). I think they actually may have quit before 2008, maybe like 2006 or 2007 or I would remember them better as I was pretty into ceiling fans by 2008. I don't think they ever sold very well, haven't seen one since the display, and the fact that they were separate didn't help as far as I can tell. Pretty sure most people shopping for fans didn't even know they existed...

You don't want to write the name for the same reason that you write Heritage in a weird way? Ahh that's stupid about the Nadair at Menards. They had such cool models, always with very original light kits and they never converted to the crappy modern reversing switches. Between 1993 to 2008, Réno-Dépot was the main place to buy Nadairs in Québec but they were also sold in some showrooms and other home improvement stores. Réno-Dépot had almost every models. Maybe you prefer more the smaller (107 cm) version of the Designer's Choice with the plain housing: www.vintageceilingfans.com/membergalleries/gallery/showimage.php?i=901&c=37This version was introduced around 1997 and was sold in verdi, burgundy, glossy black, white, brushed nickel and antique brass. In 2009, after they were no more Nadairs sold at Réno-Dépot, I remember seeing on the shelves a box of one of theses in brushed nickel. The box was a little bit beat up and half open. It was a NOS. I almost regret not buying it as I knew they were no more Nadairs officially sold.

A local IGA grocery store have many Banvil Bronze Lines 140 cm. This one in the lobby have a yellowed motor. It's weird that the motor on theses can yellow. I went to Rosemont again with a friend and also with Philippe this time. There's was a lot more cool fans that I did not saw last time. A small Rona hardware store have a small fan and lighting display. The four fans on their display were spinning. Canarm Galaxy 90 cm Canarm Eclipse 107 cm. I love how it still uses all the three pull chains. Canarm Calibre 120 cm. Remote controlled with halogen light kit. The fourth fan that is not pictured is a brushed nickel Westinghouse Turbo Swirl 76 cm. A book store had four Canarms from the 1990s and a 1980s 4 Seasons. Does anyone knows for sure if theses are really Canarm? Because Nadair made something very similar at some point too. It's either Canarm or Nadair but I'm leaning more for Canarm. Canarm sold something like this at Rona until recently. A second one that was on medium. The two other Canarm are theses black and white fans. I love how the Canarm version of theses is so chunky. The 4 Seasons is a Galaxy 90 cm that seems to be a 1984 model. It's the white version of the chrome one that I got from Jesse. It's a 3-speed model with the long switch housing. I guess the reverse pull chain on the other side is cute very short. The installation is very cool. It's on a small vaulted ceiling above where is the door to go to the basement is. It was on high. A dry cleaner have two recent Westinghouse Industrials 140 cm (straight blades) with ball and socket canopies. A restaurant have three or maybe four early 1990s SMC Promo Deluxe 90 cm in polished brass exactly like the one I have. The 3rd one can be seen in the right corner and maybe there was a fourth one at the front corner that I could not see. They all still have their original globes and pull chains. The polished brass are definitely the most popular ones for this generation. Closeup Enjoy! There are also portables fans sightings with this.

i like the installs of the SMC promos.. its unusual for a fan to have only its motor yellowing.. i usually see the whole fan or the canopies yellowed
edit: one of my fans turned out to have its motor yellowed

This is a re post of some fans I've posted before in July 2009: the Canarms at my local Subway. Last fall that restaurant was renovated, they changed all the ceiling and light fixtures, plus all the counter to order but what's amazing is that they kept the same old ceiling fans they had before even though they changed the ceiling tiles and all the other light fixtures. It's very rare that we see that in renovations. The only unpleasant thing they did to the fans is that they used to be four of them in total and they re installed only three. It's clear that they had to take them down for theses renovations before because they are not placed exactly the same way as they were before. They are early 1990s models, 107cm, polished brass with beautiful golden oak blades. The switch housing is detachable and they have Panama style vents. They are pretty much always on low. Another one: A view of two of them. I'm suspecting that the beige emergency light you see there is an older one that they re used. You probably recognize the new type of pendant light they use now. They used to have polished brass pendant fixtures with clear ribbed glass in place of theses with the typical pendant plants in polished brass pots. Typically 1980s-1990s. Go to page five of this thread to compare with the older 2009 pictures before renovations.

Really weird that they reused the fans, considering all the other fixture changes, albeit not the first time I've seen it in a Subway. We had a location that underwent renovation in maybe 2003 and everything but the fans changed, they kept the 52" PB GE Vent fans. That location is no longer a Subway, but I think the fans are still in there.
