My friends think it's wierd, but also cool. I think the same about what they collect. Some collect napkins, others little wax dogs.

Just saw your post Jeremy. One time my friend with the Regency in her home found a desk fan for me. I should tell them to watch for ceiling fans, I never thought of that. I'm a bit sad, my Moss WF started to make loud and obnoxious bearing scratches, with witch I could not sleep with the fan on. I'm going to repair the fan, but not until spring when I can get in the garage again. In the meantime, I put my Mayfair in there.

Thanks, I think it looks real nice in there. That WF worked perfectly too, I don't know what happened. I guess it just had to get worn in again.

You should have left it up to troubleshoot. Does the noise persist with the blades and brackets removed?

Yea, it still makes the noise. I have it up in the basement again. I'll see what I can do, otherwise it'll have to wait. The thing is I like to have the fan on sometimes while I sleep, and I can't get to sleep if the fan is grinding.

Does the noise occur when you spin it by hand?

Yes, not as bad, but it's still there.
