Actually, I even think that light kit looks too big in the picture, but in person, it looks just right. I know it's be hard to believe from the pics, but it really does look quite good. I just wondered if there were suggestions is all.

The light kit that you put on the Moss WF Series 52'' would definitely looks better on the SMC Laguna 36'' and vis versa. But usually for those 36'' spinners (especially that this one have a very skinny switch housing) the only light kit that would looks OK would be a single mushroom light kit. If you need more light, well put 1x60 watt bulb. Anyway the LAST generation of the Laguna that was sold during the mid to late 90s was just like the fan you have but it included a single mushroom light kit. Of course in the picture is looks too big and I'm sure in person it still looks too big. Usually the diameter of a light kit should NOT even be the half of the diameter of the blade span. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) But those are very nice fans that you got there. I wish you could make of video of the Moss WF. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

It didn't come with globes like on the light kit you had on your Air Cool spinner. It came on my Lasko fan. It's got tulip globe size fitters, not school house size fitters.
The globes were like half a sphere, ribbed on the edges, and had those gold metal rings around the bottom, that are loose, like on builder light fixtures, and yes I do still have them.

That Laguna definitely needs a different light kit. Something smaller, and more simple would look nice.

The kit is not even half of the blade span, that's why I'm saying it looks WAY too big in the pic, but really it's not very big. The skinny switch housing is why I chose that kit, because it's slim. I also don't have any small fitters available as of now, besides no one really sees it right now unless we have a guest, which we don't.
I do believe I made a video, but have yet to post it, I'll look around for it.

Here's a video of the Moss, I have to balance the blades and the light kit buzzes and rattles, you can hear it in the video. It does move a ton of air in that smaller room though. You can also see some of my antique desk fans in the background. ![](http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo166/mpsslovak/th_2008_1016Moss0001.jpg)

Thanks a lot for the video, I always wanted to see these fans in motion again. I love their design, they looks so unique. The ones with Ge vents and chunky switch housing are my favorites. They used to be one of these Ge vents top mounted fans in a waiting room of a doctor I go but they renovated the place in 2005 and took the fan off. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) It was antique brass, no light kit, Ge vents with chunky switch housing with the two beige tassels pulls(one for the reverse and the other for the speed) but the blades were not the typical cane you see on most cane bladed fans or the skinny M shaped Moss cane. No the cane blades looked exactly like Casablanca's cane! Dark marbled glossy walnut with huge wide beige cane that takes a lot of place on the blade. I love this type of cane. Just like that: www.vintageceilingfans.com/casablancazephyr4000ceilingfan.htmlAnyone ever seen this combination before? That was the only Moss WF Series I ever seen. I was most of the time on low or off. Cole I can see that your spins at about 60/135/210 RPM. pretty powerful on high. I noticed the HZ sound and the rattles on high and medium. It that light really necessary? Because if not just take it off.

Is this better? I put the original light kit back on because I need a light of some sort. I can also change the globe if there are other ideas. It doesn't rattle anymore either. ![](http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo166/mpsslovak/th_2008_1016Moss0002.jpg) ![](http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo166/mpsslovak/th_2008_1016Moss0003.jpg) ![](http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo166/mpsslovak/th_2008_1016Moss0004.jpg)
