The Moss I just got from Kyle is doing very strange things. It worked perfectly at first, but now it will only run on reverse, and very slowly at that. We had the capacitor tested, and it registered as still in perfect working condition. Everything is connected correctly, the way it originally was. What should I do to fix this? Any help is appreciated!

How did you test it?

Well, I was going to have it replaced, because it's lind of beat up, and apparently the guy tested it somehow. I'm not sure how, because my dad took it in to who knows where.

I did not know that Moss Caribbeans could be reversed.

I don't think they're supposed to; that's my problem. I can't get it to run the right way again.

It's either a loose connection, a winding gone bad, wired incorrectly, or MOST LIKELY a bad capacitor.

It's either a loose connection, a winding gone bad, wired incorrectly, or MOST LIKELY a bad capacitor. i was thinking more of "bad capacitor" is the blame of that problem to your moss fan... my moss fan is the same as yours(as same NONreversable, same capacitor, same canopy..etc). so yea,i knew they don't have reverable switches.

Those were the main problems I thought of, but I didn't know if there was something I should try first. Thanks for the help, it was very appreciated.

Yes, my dad got one for me, through his machinery supplier for his work place.

On the Caribbean Breeze, there is no lower canopy, so it is located in the upper canopy. It's simply wired in there and is attached to the "rubber grommit" bracket.
