I need a wiring diagram or some help with my Moss Caribbean Breeze. I got a new capacitor for it and tried to hook it back up but I made that rookie mistake of not labeling or diagramming my connections. I'm getting 115VAC from the remote but no spin?? Please help me with my Dohhh moment. My front porch is not habitable in Atlanta in July without the fan. TIA JRE

Well, there should only be three wires from the capacitor. The original one would've had two whites and one red, correct? One white would've gone to the white wire from the downrod, and one would go to the white wire in the ceiling. The red would connect with the red from the downrod. The black from the downrod would connect to the black wire in the ceiling(not that it applies to wiring in the capacitor). I don't know how your new capacitor is set up, but if it's the same, wire it in the same way. If not the same, we'll need more information.

Unfortunately I don't have the original cap and it's been a year. My cap has two wires, red and black. The down rod has the three you mention, black, white and red and I have a hot and a neutral coming from my speed/direction remote. It sounds like red to red, hot to black on the cap and the downrod black and white from the down rod to neutral from the control. What do y'all think?

IDK, the only way I've done it is with the 3 wire cap. Anyone else know how this would work? Dan?

My thought is the two black wires on the three wire cap are common. I think I just combine black, hot and black and acheive the same result as with two black cap wires but not sure.
I guess this thread is dead. I'll just persevere.

No it's not!
Power to the fan connects to black and white. The cap connects to red and either black OR white depending on which way you want the fan to go. I think it connects to white for forward.
