Arch-end metal blades? Adam? Might it be this? Lasko/sanyo made a spinner with arch-end metal blades and a weird ass plastic light kit.

Oh, I'm sorry, my vocabulary was wrong, I was referring to the blades when they start to curve upwards at the end like this ____/. My bad . Three blades, I will try to find a similar picture off the net. It looks like the fan in my avatar, that style, different canopy, ^Those blades, brown.

Wood Blades? What fan are you talking about..
They removed the bulbs and ballasts from the light fixtures.
And they removed the freon from the AC units, and then stripped all the windows and some wood in certain buildings..

Your avatar doesnt show up for me.
Arch end blades are like on the Tara. I would just called those curved blades, or curved-tip blades. Most industrials have them in order to cover a wider area.

Also on another note too, i also like those older retro grocerie stores, department stores and drug stores. im sure some of you know what i may be talking about, the large 70s retro stores with the BIG round noisy AC vents on the ceilings. ive always been fascinated with those as well, i remember there was a store by my house back in the late 80s called "Sun Supermarket" then they changed the name to "Wooly's" when i was really little and they had those kind of retro type things, and a couple of old fashoned flourescent lights that would be half burned out and flickering too, i liked those type of places. unfortunately i dont know of many places like that anymore due to stores remodeling or just going out of buisiness.

I like the vintage fluorescent lights.
They remove the things that would be enviromentally damaging to put in the landfills, like the freon, mercury in the fluorescent bulbs, pcps in the ballasts, etc.
We said wood blades because Andrew thought he was talking about a Carribean Breeze when he said an industrial with arch-end blades.

It looks cool if the lights cover a wide area. It seems to just go on and on forever. The Ames that used to be at my place closed. The store was pretty big and had those lights everywhere.
When I was little, I was afraid of those AC vents. I always thought that I was going to get sucked in or something is going to jump out. Silly of me.

I didnt like that the big vents were noisy. These days it is cool to see them, they are a throwback.

I was also scared of them too when little. The goodwill around here that just recently got bulldozed, were I bought this ceiling fan www.vintageceilingfans.com/mosshf100seriesheirloomceilingfan.html had those big vents, They all each had a big fan in them too, and were very noisy. I was told the building use to be a grocery store.. Adam

I thought those vents were cool too. Our Scotty's store where they used to sell the Encon ceiling fans had those big round vents. They had the loud sound of air rushing. I think that's really the only place where I have encountered the really big ones. Actually there was an old building near Main Street town that had been remodeled and had them and I think Big Lots does. Also, some older 60s-70s houses have them, but smaller. I think they're 8 or 10". Adam, I had never seen any with a fan in them.

Most of my local K-Marts were built in the 70s and have those big air vents aswell.
